    BX2200 Transmission Issues . . . HELP I've fallen and I cant get up!

Since you asked, it is hard to explain. If you look at the picture, you will see that the spider gear pin ends are worn out to about half of its original diameter when the pin failed with a lot of clunking and loss of power . But there are some contributing factors. From what I have learned...

    BX2200 Transmission Issues . . . HELP I've fallen and I cant get up!

I am hoping for you that it is just a bearing roller that split and not the differential, like what happened to my classic mini Cooper.

    Putter Geeks

Here is another flavor of a "free office suite" about 95% compatible with MS Office if trying to use all the MS bells and whistles. It is "forked" (split off) from Open Office and can be set up to save automatically all documents as whatever version of MS Office you want i.e. the latest, 2007...

Parasitic battery drain on my new BX2380

How many wires go into the lights? It would need at least three in order for the switch on the lights to control the relay. If there is only two wires to the lights then it seem that the relay is on all the time and is just in series with the switch. That is what I can figure. If that is the...

Dumb question: If it is installed by the dealer, is it under warranty?

    BX2200 Transmission Issues . . . HELP I've fallen and I cant get up!

Maybe you had the same issue I had which luckily for me, it manifested itself early. I think that during the initial servicing of the front axle, the breather plugs were not removed causing an air pocket and improper eventual oil level. It might look OK initially but when the air bleeds out...

LockNLube Grease Gun Coupler - Worth The Price ?

I have been using a Macnaught KY+ (funny name) grease coupler since breaking a fitting on the FEL. My problem was that the original coupler would get stuck on most of the tractor fittings until I broke one. It is kind of pricey (over $30 at Amazon) but I have not had any more problems.

    BX2200 Transmission Issues . . . HELP I've fallen and I cant get up!

I would try as a last ditch effort to try the engage/disengage the 4wd while moving a bit back and forth. After that, like he said, disconnect the driveshaft and see if the transmission end can be rotated by hand. And hope that it does, so it is isolated to the the front axle. Mine did a weird...

Can’t connect hydraulic hose on my Grapple

If you decide to loosen the fittings to relieve the pressure, make sure that the O ring has not been dislodged inside before retightening the joint or it can be caught and damaged by the threads.

Do You Buy Your Grease From Your Kubota Dealer ?

I buy mine from Messick's since it is easier than going to the local dealer, particularly with Covid. Here is a good video by Neil Messick on types of grease:

How Much Pressure Is In Hydraulic Lines ?

Here is an interesting demonstration about how much pressure the tractor can put into the cylinders protected by a relief valve vs. the pressure overload caused by back driving the cylinders when the pressure is locked in between the cylinders and the control valve an there is no relief valve in...

How Much Pressure Is In Hydraulic Lines ?

Great replies. I would only add that liquids unlike gases are not (theoretically) compressible that is why a pressure change anywhere in the system is reflected everywhere else. That is the reason when you use a hand pump to pump up a tire you can see the pressure slowly going up as the air is...

    Paumco Quick Spade on BX1880

I recently bought the Paumco Quick Spade from Northern Tools to use with my 36 in. forks to build a french drain in my yard. I was a bit concerned that for the little BX1880 it would be an overkill and that it would not work but to my surprise the Quick Spade worked very well. I did run a ripper...

    Bx1880 Upgraded Tires

I read your previous post which helped me a lot to make my decision. However, what I found out was that as the tractor models progressed from the BX1860 to the BX1880, the wheel base increased from 52.8 in. to 55.1 in. The BX2360/BX2660 wheelbase is 55.1 in., the same as the all the...

    Bx1880 Upgraded Tires

Hi everybody from rainy and swampy Florida. I have a BX1880 that I bought new last year with a 48 in. belly mower and FEL/grapple. It came with R1 tires that worked sort of OK during our "dry season" for mowing and also for other chores like hauling out cut down trees and limbs. But the rains...
