What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

You rang? Since I'm in the 'North Mississippi Hill Country' (didn't realize until recently that the region had a name, the highest elevation in the county is 623' Thacker Mountain), it would be nice to have rip-rap available at times, also gravel for roads, without having to pay trucking from...

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

@BBFarmer, since you've outed yourself as an HVAC and dash expert, I have one for you. 2018 Nissan Frontier, due to a 'light' front ender, I had to get a new AC condenser. Got it out of the shop Monday evening. Today I was running errands and it cools, but not like it should. This afternoon I...

What tools/wrenches to do basic maintenance/servicing on L3902?

If you have a brush cutter, the nuts holding the blades on and the rear lug nuts will probably be the largest you need. If you're going to work on hydraulic cylinders, I recommend a 3/4" drive socket set.

    BX2380 Mower Deck Help

I'm not familiar with these, but make sure you get all the brackets, etc. you need to hook it up. I think there's another piece of driveshaft.

oil leak at R. Rear of MX6000

As Russell said, there's a sight glass. That fluid lubricates everything but the engine, front axle and miscellaneous external points. It is the hydraulic fluid for the 3ph and any hydraulic attachments. If you don't have an Operator Manual, you can download one from KubotaBooks. It has the...

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

I might have used latex or silicone caulk on a stem or rim before. In a pinch . . .

    la526 loader lifts slowly

By 'lever' do you mean the 3ph control lever? If so, you probably need to adjust the feedback linkage so the 3pt doesn't go into relief when fully raised. What tractor is this on?

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

I saw my first ones July 4 on the security camera. Down here, the rut must be later than up north, they have babies in June, maybe May. I almost hit one a few years ago, he must have been just old enough to skidaddle when the tractor straddled him.

Not exactly tractor related, but these were considered risque at the time.

    Considering a L5030 HSTC

Good thing you got the manual to read . . . That lower knob adjusts the 3PH lowering speed; closed, it won't go down. It doesn't affect the raising speed. Your manual calls for UDT or SUDT, but SUDT2, the newest synthetic, is compatible with either. You can use it in the front axle but I prefer...

    Teach me about hydraulic motors

Should be doable, but there are considerations, Many hydraulic motors have back pressure limits unless a case drain is provided, Your other hydraulic functions might rob the motor when they're used simultaneously. Have you considered mechanical drives? I'm not sure what flexibility you're...

Congratulations! You'll like it. The brakes. As a chronic turning brake user, I always wondered how you were supposed to use the brakes to turn with the HST pedal on the same side. Shouldn't be an issue with cruise control and they've moved them to the left side on the new models, but left foot...

    First Tractor, First Leak

I went back and looked. Your loader is installed like it's shown in the parts diagram. Here's how the newer L2501 is vented. EDIT, this model also has a vent on the transmission housing, so this vent is redundant.

    First Tractor, First Leak

Ah ha! That's the fill port. When they installed the loader, they used the fill port, as is commonly done, for the tank return line. But, on your model the case vent was located in the fill plug, not in the axle case as on many models. So when they did away with the plug, it left the...

    Rusty Bucket

I used the big box store equivalent, Rustoleum maybe?, on my riding mower deck and never got around to painting it. It's held up fine.

I'm finally responding to your original post. I've never operated a hydro tractor other than a Craftsman lawn tractor. But I've bush hogged a bunch with unsynchronized gear, with and without independent PTO, and a little with a geared, hydraulic shuttle M7040. I think your original geared, 2WD...
