I cleaned up 3 driveways yesterday. We got 3 1/2 inches of wet heavy stuff. Besides my drive I plow my neighbor's wood yard to the north, and neighbor to my south.

Fun day to be out on the B7100, temps in the high 20's and easy going with the amount of snow and conditions. My woodyard neighbor does not live locally and I always take a few photos to help document , which is the picture below.

Thanks! After the mechanic came out and fixed the issues it has been great! I got the SB1064 with the hardened steel wear edge and outer adjustable skid shoes. All the adjustments on mine are manual but they can have hydraulics if you have two rear remotes. If you are looking at getting one I definitely do not recommend going any larger than the sb1064 with an l2501. Most of the time I’m in low gear just 1/4 press on the pedal. In any significant snow amount it will bog the tractor down if I use more pedal. Beats doing it with a blade or by hand though! Just had to learn to keep the speed low and it just chews through it no questions asked. I can do my driveway in 3 passes but usually take 4 or 5 just because it’s fun and to really get it as wide as possible. After the initial pass I typically position it so only 3/4 of the auger is actually being used
Thanks for the information. That is very helpful for decision making on the blower.

I finally got my 3 pt forks functional!

Shouldn't have had to go through all this mess, I was trying to support a couple of local guys, my Massey Ferguson dealer, and a local manufacturer ... $1400!

After ordering them in the beginning of October, I picked them up in November, only to get them home to discover that they were built to CAT2 spec's, and I had explicitly ordered CAT1 as I had bought an additional CAT1 QH for the Kubota from the Massey Ferguson dealer, so I could share some attachments I already had for my SCUT Massey Ferguson, So I returned it, the dealer said it was his fault, and he would fix it, we decided that the lower pins could just be turned around, and the top pin mount needed to be lowered, they certainly were very heavy duty, rated for 5,000 Lbs!

After much delay, and excuses, I kept after them and eventually in the middle of January they were "done" when I got home, they hadn't welded the top pin ears evenly, so a CAT2 top pin wouldn't fit through, a CAT1 would, but the holes were too big and it would slide out, dealer offered to fix it again, I said no, I needed them at home in my barn, not sitting outside, I got some big washers to hold the top pin in, and added bushings to bump it up to the CAT3 the QH needed ...

Flipped the lower pins around this morning, added red lock tight to the threads, and tried to pick it up ... The lower gussets were in the way of the lower QH hooks, so I trimmed it off a bit with my torch! I'm not really worried about over all strength, as they are rated for 5,000 Lbs, my tractor is only rated for 3,860 Lbs at end of arms, and 2,980 24" behind them ... The tote weighs 135 Lbs, and if full at 275 gallons that adds another 2,200 Lbs for a total of 2,335 Lbs ... Will it lift it? Time will tell ... Will I need to add weight to the front, probably ... But will try it without first ...

IMG_20260222_103125248~3.jpg

This is as high as I can lift it, and still be level ... Probably 16" off the ground.

With the hydraulic top link all the way in ...

I have forks on my little SCUT, so if I gotta lift something higher, that's lighter, I can use that ...

IMG_20260222_103225591~2.jpg

But this should take the watering load off my little tractor, and haul more per load than I was, so should go faster ... But it sure is handy just hopping off the open station ... But in today's weather with mid 20's with 20 mph wind the heated cab sure was nice!

We got over two inches of rain last week, so I'm not going to actually use it today, but wanted to make sure I was finally ready to go!

I remember when you first bought the L2501. You were questioning if you bought too big of a tractor. Sounds like you feel different now after some seat time!
Yeah, I'm glad I didn't get a smaller machine. I mean yeah it might cause a little more ruts on the lawn but I don't have a golf course. The benefits out weigh the negatives to me, having something that can easily lift 1000lbs safely is more important and feel stable. Not saying the B series are bad, they're great machines but when sitting on it, I didn't feel the same. Sitting on the L series, I'm like man this feels like how a tractor should feel. But more importantly, the L2501/2 are such simplistic tractors. So easy to maintain and work on. No electronics, they're basic and that's what I like. They just work haha.

When down to the road and started gravel cleanup. The neighbor had someone with a snow box plow his drive and they deposited about a yard of stone from his drive in to the ditch blocking the culvert. I dug it out and used the bucket on the B3200 to carry it out and top dress some of the shared drive area.

It's a pain when you purchase something and it doesn't fit as you wanted. If you're fabricating something you expect modifications, but not when new.

I didn't realize you had the hydraulics on the rear. That's nice!

This morning, I had the local Kubota dealer order the Land Pride QH20 that I mentioned above. I decided not to order the optional floating top link shown below. I can always get that part later if needed but I don't see a need for it at this stage.

I'll be removing the six Faster couplers from the M6060 rear remotes this afternoon and installing Summit Hydraulics 1/2" Ag couplers and then using a can of foaming engine degreaser to eliminate all signs that Faster crap was ever on the tractor. Oh happy days! 😂

The difference between men and boys is the cost of their toys! 😂😂😂 I want to be just like you when I grow up. That looks like way too much fun.
Says the man with two tractors 😆 I will say we get a lot more use out of the RTV than I expected. Knowing what I know now, I probably would of bought a Can am defender.

Only one remote ... But I needed a proper length top link, so I got a hydraulic one ... Thinking of possibly adding another 1 or 2 remotes ... The hydraulic top link make using the forks so much easier!

I bought a new to me Kubota! 2021 Grand L4060 Limited Edition. 180HRS It was placed in service 1/31/22 so it has 23 months power train and 11 months emissions warranty left. Bought it from an individual. It was a one owner. Just tired of freezing my hind end off!

The local dealer is good, but not that good. I only put in the order request this morning so it'll be a week or more before the QH20 shows up.
