Rain water got into hydraulic lines on Kubota LA481 Loader.

My 2000 Kubota L3010 w/LA481 loader got stuck in the down position. I was able to detach the loader from the tractor. Apparently the hydraulic valve spooler had corrosion that caused the problem. I ended up buying a new hydraulic valve from Summit Hydraulics.
While waiting for my new valve to come in we had 5” of rain. I had put a baggy over the open hydraulic lines and taped it closed. Water still got in.
How do I make sure all of the water is removed from the hydraulic lines before installing my new hydraulic valve?

The water will NOT have gotten in the lines, it just can't happen.
Dry off the ends and move on.

The water will NOT have gotten in the lines, it just can't happen.
Dry off the ends and move on.
I don’t see quick couplers on those lines. Do you @North Idaho Wolfman still stand by your statement above?

I personally agree that even if the lines are open that to just dry them off is enough. They are pointed downward so the water in the bag is as far into the lines as the water could travel and that much water is inconsequential to the hydraulic system. By using the tractor that water will be “boiled off” and expelled out of the transmission case vent(s).

Unless that loader with the open lines has been submerged well below the top of the lines and then the cylinder cycled, I still stand behind there is no water in those lines.
Water is heavier than oil and the water would stay at the bottom of the hoses in that bag.

I don't think water flows uphill. As long as the lines were in the position the picture shows all the water is in the bag.
