Thank you appreciate it. The service guy I spoke to at the dealership asked me to send him some pictures as we are trying to see what went wrong. After a lot of back and forth he noticed the shaft that goes from the gearbox to the first sprocket moved a lot. There’s these Allen set screws that are supposed to be tightened so it can’t move. He believes it wasn’t tightened from the factory as the chain assempbly is mounted there. You can actually see where they lightly scratched the surface as they were not tightened enough. I was able to hammer it back and retighten the set screws which then aligned the idler pulley/gear. I have a few pictures of what it looked like beforehand. He said they will absolutely have someone come out Monday no questions asked if it’s giving me issues or falls off again, the idler pulley bolt is still insanely tight even after sanding and scraping so I may shoot him a text as they may be an issue going forward. If you're interested in a fix that will NEVER let that happen again, do the following:

Loosen the screws and get the sprocket aligned, and then tighten the set screws to mark the shaft enough to see the marks with the sprocket removed. Center punch the screw marks, and drill the shaft just enough for the screw points to get a really good bite. Put the sprocket back on, run the screws down and put a drop of thread lock on it. Bob's yer uncle.

Picked up 14 bales of hay for neighbors horses. 11 on the trailer with 3 more in the truck. Got 2.5 out in the pasture under huts. They should be good for a while hopefully. Lots of snow forecasted here (16" or so). We'll see what happens.

Y'all be safe.

Might be time to put the tracks on the buggy. The L5460 got it out.

Dropped the skid shoes to their lowest setting. Gives me about 1" below the cutting edge of the blower. Did the same to my pusher as well.

I have a set of chains on the rear wheels of my Polaris 900xp. It makes a word of difference especially in the woods going up- hill. Worth every penny.
You are right ! I used to run a 5' plow on my Sportsman 500 and put chains all around. I could go anywhere as long as I didn't bottom out.

That was my issue, I bottomed out. To be fair, I was pushing it to see what it would take to get it hung up

Thanks a bunch. they are sending a mechanic out next week to take a look over everything to ensure nothing else was missed or assembled incorrectly. I am going to run your suggestion by him to see if it would affect the warranty.

Moved a bucket of firewood up to the porch. B3200 was a bit sluggish starting at -3F so I let her run for about 15 minutes in the barn till the temp gauge was up. Verified my warning strobe lights were working and put it on the battery tender. Balmy 7 right now and allegedly some white stuff on the way. Today is the day I wished I had a cab

Ditto.

I brought up a face cord to the porch with the B, and draped a tarp over the wood. I bet it it was 15-20 minutes before I saw the first bar on the meter engine temp. Forecast claims it’s gonna get a bit nippy with the windchill tonight. 🥶

Hopefully the Honda foreman starts in the morning, if not the B will have to start warming up and get called out to the mound.

Is that a new snow blower?

Oops ... that's not your place. 😂😂😂
Yea no, not my place.
I don't have anywhere near that nice of a tractor!
And my wood storage issue is a little more intense.
FYI: There is 2 Home Depot style of lumber racks hiding behind that pile that are overfull of wood, and there is more piles around the rest of the shop. o_O

There is also a 20 foot seaboard container, a 20 foot flatbed trailer full , another shop, and 2 huge wrapped piles outside.
I'm beginning to think I might have a wood problem.

Got bored this evening. Decided to see if my redneck rear plow will work with the wet mess we are supposed to get. I want to spend as little time as possible clearing 1200’ here and another 600’ for my DOT truck driver neighbor.

What gauge is the stovepipe? If it's 24, I wonder if that will be stout enough.

Well, I got up early to try to stay ahead of the snow and my beloved foreman was sleepy this morning and I was not able to wake her up. 😢

However, my cigar (diesel unholy cocktail) was already lit, so I stumbled down the road to the big barn…then I lit the little B, and she seemed happy to be called out to the mound. The Drives are not as clean as I would like (has a tooth at on), but it sure is better than a shovel and the light bar came in real handy at 0 dark thirty.

first pass is done (somewhere between 4-6”). She is plugged in now and I am ‘hydrating’😉 with some Black rifle coffee next to the wood stove.

I was watching This Old House on PBS ( yes I know ) and they were demoing a back porch. Looked like there was maybe 10' between the porch and a roll off. Guy was on a Kubota. It was a stand up tracked machine with forks. He was able to grab the porch section, do a 180 and dump it all in that tiny space. Did another 180 and grabbed another piece. Looked like a great piece of equipment for urban work.

May have to consider a plow for the old Polaris Sportsman. It would be the first time in 20 yrs she does some real work
