If you're interested in a fix that will NEVER let that happen again, do the following:Thank you appreciate it. The service guy I spoke to at the dealership asked me to send him some pictures as we are trying to see what went wrong. After a lot of back and forth he noticed the shaft that goes from the gearbox to the first sprocket moved a lot. There’s these Allen set screws that are supposed to be tightened so it can’t move. He believes it wasn’t tightened from the factory as the chain assempbly is mounted there. You can actually see where they lightly scratched the surface as they were not tightened enough. I was able to hammer it back and retighten the set screws which then aligned the idler pulley/gear. I have a few pictures of what it looked like beforehand. He said they will absolutely have someone come out Monday no questions asked if it’s giving me issues or falls off again, the idler pulley bolt is still insanely tight even after sanding and scraping so I may shoot him a text as they may be an issue going forward. Loosen the screws and get the sprocket aligned, and then tighten the set screws to mark the shaft enough to see the marks with the sprocket removed. Center punch the screw marks, and drill the shaft just enough for the screw points to get a really good bite. Put the sprocket back on, run the screws down and put a drop of thread lock on it. Bob's yer uncle.
