I don't ever remember seeing conditions like we have this morning. The "snow" is like really bad shave ice and is serving to hold a lot of water on the driveway. If this stuff freezes it's going to be treacherous. I made some passes to clear it off but it's like running a large fire hose, although it does work.

McMXi, that sloppy stuff reminds me of what we had a few times. First one is with the L3200 that a bud shot and the second very short video is the L4240 I tried to capture from the cab. Both were at the same parking lot at church and both were to get rid of the slush ahead of an approaching freeze.

Yes! Your videos capture the stuff that I'm dealing with. I can't believe how much water it holds. It's like a gel sitting about 1-1/2" thick and it turns to water as you push or blow it. Not a fan, and if it's on the ground tonight it'll be a thick sheet of ice.

That's the normal kind of snow and weather we get in Alabama when we get any snow. Wet, heavy snow, sometimes alternateing between sleet, frozen rain, snow, and you can see the defined layers in it. Then we get a slight warming trend to get it really slushy, followed by some kind of ridiculous single digit temperature which turns it all into a SOLID 2-3 inch sheet of ice that won't melt until the temperature gets back up around 60 or so. That normally shuts down most of the state for days.

Do you have any pictures? We love pictures. :)

I love to see snow because there isn't any where I live. Maybe every 20 years or so.

The 3 point snow blower I bought at a hell of a good price worked awesome. Best 2 grand I have spent on equipment.

Cleared 9 inches of snow today. Proceeded to then hit my mailbox and bend it! 🤦‍♂️ Thankfully it’s not a super high strength steel so I could bend it back by hand. It’s got some character now! I did put it in with 100lbs of concrete so that would have been a pain to remove if it did break with how frozen the ground is right now. As usual the l2501 did great with the old back blade my neighbor gave to me a few years ago.

It's a real shame there's no video of the precip we received some time in the early 90's. It was several inches of what looked like #8 shot made of clear glass rather than the common little white balls of sleet. It wasn't the least bit wet but it behaved almost like water because the little spheres wouldn't stick to each other. The only snow removal equipment then was the Ford 1210 and a 5' rear blade. With the blade reversed and the tractor in reverse I backed into it to push it up onto the existing snowbanks. Some of it kind of leaked around the blade while being pushed and when I stopped it ran back down the existing snow like water.

snow blower vs 50lb salt block wife left in paddock.... was clearing a spot for the horse feeder. fortunately i got all the rest of the snow done first

and no a land pride inverted snow blower will not successfully ingest a salt block. 0 out of 10 do not recomend

center impeller popped welds off three of 4 blades and twisted them before sheer pin broke.

at least i got my snow pusher till its fixed. while im a big diy this is beyound the equipment and tools i have atm.

Amazon! I'd have a better chance of getting on a Blue Origin rocket than persuading Amazon to change their shipping policies! 😂
How long would it take to run out of intelligent conversation with the Perfect 10 crew? I bet before everyone gets strapped in you will miss the HST wine of your MX.😉

might be interesting to study silicone under g force at launch as well as in orbit?

Thats a lot of carnage. My worst thing to get in the blower was a fence post. Just broke the sheer bolt but took awhile to get the post out from behind the auger.

Not pictures of plowing but I made my snow plow into a snow pusher it made a world of difference. I mostly plow with the back blade and clean up with the snow pusher works great.

Used the L3901DT and grapple to move logs to our splitting/storage area. It was a cold one yesterday with the wind and high humidity. At least the ground was frozen and I didn't have to deal with mud.

the cost of a new auger is 6700$ so the bent one is being sent to a machine shop for bending and reweld.

told the wife we are NOT using the blower in the paddock again as her salt block picking up skills are pretty much zero.

Found time to make the lever and install the linkage to the diverter valve for the three point hitch. The original Kubota solution is very elegant but the individual parts would have added up to about $1000. So I put in a normal hand valve and made a linkage to the original handle position; a bit tricky and not very elegant, but space was tight and it works fine. I want to keep the other side free for the rear PTO clutch lever.

All that is left is a bracket for the valve to the frame and relocating the temperature alarm horn and a contactor.

Fired up the BX this afternoon, had to haul eight bags of water softener salt to the basement door. I wasn't sure the F150 would go through the snow in the yard to do it, but the BX in 4WD plowed right through, no problem.
