I don’t have the foggiest idea. It was sitting in their field when they bought the place. Was probably parked before I was born.

They said I could have it. Which seemed like a great idea for a few seconds before I considered getting it running, getting it home, sneaking it past the wife… 😂
I’d take it apart for scrap metal if it’s been sitting that long. But getting it home will be a challenge.

Thanks! It's not perfect yet. The shed now is now looking a bit higher but that's what happens sometimes when your trying grade. I'm doing everything by eye but maybe worth to invest in a budget friendly transit level.
You can also use what is called an a-frame level (I mount a spirit level on mine but you can go old school and use a string with a weight on it. You can quickly find the isolevel lines (elevation line that is the same elevation) by walking it from level point to level point.

I figure out the level I want and then turn down slope and drive stakes in the ground and mark it level with the selected level. You then fill in. You Can also work upslope but then you have to dig holes that are level with the required level.

Once you get closer to level you can switch to more refined methods if you want, but you will be really close to level with the a-frame. I like it since it can go over bumps and rocks in the ground.

Cleared some deadfall off the trails a couple days ago. Grapple and winch both made it much quicker and safer than chainsaw and muscle. Neglected to take pics. Need to go back with the bucket to deal with a stump hole left from a fallen pine after removing the maple tree that fell in the pond. The tree in the pond is going to require some sawing and rigging using the old fishing boat as a work platform. Will definitely get some pictures of that.

This morning, was reminded why I don’t bush hog between first week of July and second week of August. Rained last night and predicted to rain again this afternoon. Been needing to mow at the guest house for a few days but higher priorities prevailed. Grass is is 6” to 7” in most places. Drove down late this morning to see if it had dried enough from last night’s rain to mow, and ran across this…

Not a great picture. Didn’t get very close. It’s a white tail fawn. Likely not more than a few hours old. Might be a little bigger than a house cat but not by much (although I’m sure the legs are much longer). It won’t move until its mother comes back for it, not even for a tractor running a bush hog. In taller stuff, no way I’d see it. Might not even know I hit it.

Not mowing the grass down there today. Or doing anything else outside there. It will be elsewhere soon enough.

I saw my first ones July 4 on the security camera. Down here, the rut must be later than up north, they have babies in June, maybe May. I almost hit one a few years ago, he must have been just old enough to skidaddle when the tractor straddled him.

My first thought seeing that "hole" was a fawn.

No mound for a woodchuck/groundhog hole.

Good for you to look for it. Doe(s) behind the house in the woods have been snorting a lot last few days.

There's fawn(s) up there somewhere.

Wife had a fawn try to join her and the dog on their early-morning run a couple days ago.....

Didn't happen often, but occasionally they'd get tangled up in our haying operations years ago.

Better scenario was when we baled up snakes while my young "city" uncles were helping..... ;)

Want to hear a grown man squeal like a girl.....😱

Heck yea brother! Nice upgrade.

What tires did you end up going with?
Thank you! I'm looking forward to putting it to work.

My first choice was R14's but they aren't available in Canada for the Grand L. Seems like every other model can get them. I had no interest in R3 or 4's so I went with a Nokian snow tire. They look like turf but are firmer like the R14. They are probably the most common tire I see on a GL here.

Yesterday the tree trimmer came over and dropped two of my trees and several of our neighbors as well. It's well worth the money to me as they drop, cut up, chip the limbs and grind the stumps. Saves me a lot of work plus I don't need any more firewood. Where I mow down by the river can be dicey as for many years it was a flooding. So, I'm mowing lake bottom and the 2380 has to keep moving or the wheels will sink. After the trimmer was done grinding the stumps they always leave a pile of the grinder shavings. There are some deep dips out where I mow so today, I loaded the bucket and started dumping this "fill" in those low spots. Normally I can park the tractor and do a couple things with no issue. Put the weight of the FEL on and that changes the game.

Picked up a generator today. Strapped it to a dolly and dropped it off at the basement door and just rolled it inside. Didn't even break a sweat. Then helped a neighbor bury a deer that died under their deck. Was buried in a hole left over from a stump that was dug out. After that I installed Bro-Tek skid plates and smoked a tri-tip.

Sounds like a productive day with your new beast there. Great shots!

A little disappointed however.

For some of us, the food is just as important as the tractorin'. Please do take a stroll and see for yourself What's cookin' boys? | OrangeTractorTalks - Everything Kubota

And next time SHOW US THAT DANG BEAUTIFUL TRI TIP!!! :ROFLMAO:

Gave my neighbor a hand with the SA10 and the 9" & 24" augers so he could plant some trees. Since it was already hooked up i switched to the 6" auger to put in some corner posts to anchor the future tarp shed.

Some days I really wish I didn’t live on a rock pile (with some soil between the rocks). I see guys post wishin’ they had rocks. I wish they’d come here and dig up and take some of mine!

Our roads reflect the lack of rocks. None of them stay in good shape too long.
