FORKIN-A-ABOUT-TIME

I have followed sooooo many FORK stories, people getting them after saying - I will NEVER use them, blah blah........

So - one day I was bored, imaging that - ok not true! But I was on Amazon and just on a whim - looking at smaller versions of bolt on forks for the BX.

SO I bought a set, thinking for the cost - hell I cannot go wrong.

Bought and then tried them out today - yeah, ON EASTER Sunday too.

I had a couple of problems I had to overcome once I got them in -

1st problem they would NOT bolt nicely over my piranha tooth bar - and o hell no I am not taking it off every time, way to lazy for that!

2nd - the cross member that comes with it - is very short, did I say short? Yeah like short as __ __ __ __

So - my youngest son is a welder - he cut off the cross bar and added a piece that was a good bit longer!!! That took care of problem #2!

On the original piranha tooth bar there is a "flat" spot at the two ends of the bucket - the clamps bolt in there rather nicely I might add!

With the added cross bar extension it seemed like it would work well.

Are the super heavy duty? Naw ........ seem pretty tough however

Are they super long? Nope - not long

Can I pick up 500 pounds - nope not even close

Can I pick up 300+ pounds - maybe!

Can I do it all from the seat without me getting off the tractor? Ooooooo yeah

O - DID I mention the cost?

Total cost SHIPPED - under $90 ..............

Yeah I know - made in the land of cheap! But I could not build them for twice that much!

Here is the web site if anyone is interested :

Nice! I have a similar set for my BX.

Don’t use them often but they’re dang handy when I need them.

I would think the forks would fit between the spaces on the tooth bar, maybe just set quite as far deep for adjustment. Width of forks may not be important if you're just picking up material as you show.

yes nice , but kinda wondering why 'my son ,the welder', couldn't make them for you ?
Well, truth be known - he had to "borrow" that 2x2 piece of steel and have it welded off shift..... but I know nutting!

Forks are a must. Incredibly useful.
I used mine today to pop up some old pavement.
Less destructive (bigger pieces-easier to move debris) than my bucket.

I see you have the pin on loader. I wonder how much weaker they would be with the SSQA.
I'm impressed it picked up that log. Was it dry?

Can I do it all from the seat without me getting off the tractor? Ooooooo yeah
Don't you have to get off the seat to attach them?

Ya know….. I’m thinkin’ that those …with a little bit of manipulationll/re-engineering…. might be a good alternative for the 3-pt…. say with a scoop ..or rear bucket…or quick-hitch adaption…
