If you drive, you could take them with you…that’s an option. . But I understand. We have two (just added the third place in december) more properties 4 hours away(we’ll retire there soon) and we plan to have bees there. I’d like to put bees there but even at just 4 hours away it’s not reasonable. So i understand from Mass to FL not really reasonable. For now we are trying to learn how to take care of the hive / bees…that part is the same. When we move to next place, we will most likely go to traditional hives as the flow hives are very pricey…I think that beyond 4 or 5 hives the flow hives would not make much sense. I seriously doubt any serious honey producer would ever consider them…ideal for a hobbyist IMO. At least not the way I do math. For now they are pricey but we are learning the basics.

I do not think that I could afford to ship the bees + equipment, back and forth.
Delta, would likely make it VERY expensive!
Bees are FUN,..... for people who are genuinely interested!

I really don’t know. One of the mentors in COBA (central Ohio beekeeper assoc…I just went to their bee school)…anyway he is keeping 20 hives and has lost none in past 3 years….lots of others of the lecturers at the org/bee school have lost hives this past winter. I am not even a beekeeper…I have one hive that has not made it through first winter. I don’t even know what I don’t know. . Ask me again in 5 years maybe.

Yesterday, welded the front blade support for my grader scraper.

Today, took the chains off. I can put them on if needed, but we probably won't get so much snow that the Ranger can't handle it.

Also today, used the grader/scraper for 4 hours on the community road. A lot of on/off the tractor to toss the larger rocks out of the road, and had to use the bucket to push a few giant rocks out of the road. Unclear how they got in the road base, but my guess someone putting in/working on underground power lines cut a ditch across the road, and didn't have a problem burying very large rocks in the road.

If you are there year round, to inspect, and tend to their occasional off season needs, you should do just fine.

I use the term ‘helper’ very loosely…but you are right they are wonderful…they are great to have around, but they have a tendency to relocate that which has been split and piled.

We have had a couple of really nice days so I'm finally getting around to building the dollies I need to keep most of the implements in the basement. I did the grapple one a few days ago. Yesterday I built one for the boxblade.

I wanted to build a support for the post hole digger and get it off the ground. Of course that meant getting it off the ground and mounted onto the tractor first. I hooked up the lower links first, the pto shaft next and then used a strap from the PHD over the ROPS to the front bucket. By curling the bucket I was able to get the top link in place and hooked up.
Then used it to plant a couple of 4X4's. After the quickcrete sets there will be a bracket about 5' high on each. A removable 2X4 will slide in there so the PHD boom can rest on it and hold it upright.

I have been playing with fire. It took some doing, but finally got the brush piles burning. A little breeze came up & the brush really took off.

Sometimes I wish we could still do that. So many people moved into our county they put a permanent ban on all open burning several years ago. Can’t even get a permit to do it any more. That’s why I have a chipper but that would be a lot to chip.

I have been working on the trees/brush for a couple years. There were about 80 acres involved. I’m glad to see these brush piles gone. If the weather is right, I’ll burn again tomorrow.
It is bad when you can’t do what you need to do on your own property. It sounds like you have adapted.

Nice day out. Moved about 30 yards of dirt to unburry a tractor. Graded the area real good, will be putting garden there. B8200 did the grading, b7200 did the dirt moving and rescue my old new holland and took it to the shop. Just turned dusk so timing was perfect, set up in the shop and started to tear down the new holland.

Finished assembling the Land Pride land plane, and then mounted it to the tractor. Works well, but when the tractor went into a few depressions, I got butterflies in my stomach and decided that I had to get the front weight box onto the tractor before I go any further. I also learned that none of the 3 York rakes I have will fit on the quick connect on the 3-point hitch without many modifications. Have to sleep on it, sell them all, and just buy a new one, or spend a lot of time making modifications. I have been sick for the last 2 weeks, and am just starting to get outside again.

Not all in one day, but I traded my 3,500+ hour M4050 (sad to see the M go) on a 500 hour Mahindra 5005 with FL in excellent condition. Changed the oil in the B7100. Hooked up the 4' rotary cutter and hauled both to the farm. Dug out a few buckets of rocks to fill a sink hole, cut some stray trees/saplings and hauled away, and finally cut last years pumpkin and sunflower fields to get ready for this years plantings. Spring seems to be here and lots to prep work to be done.

No work with the tractor, just pure pleasure unloading around 700lb worth of Yamaha goodness. It's always a good day when the delivery company shows up and there's no damage to the crate or the contents. NPT has been good to me over the years.
