    L245DT loader hydraulic lines

My l245 DT started leaking hydraulic fluid from one of the steel lines on the loader. It looks like a fitting is turning that shouldn't be. Is there a listing anywhere of part numbers for those steel lines? Thankyou very much Bill

    L245DT won't turn over

North Idaho Wolfman, thanks much for the Shop Manual! So I started with the most obvious switch, the clutch safety switch. If I disconnected the switch and used a jumper on the wires that connect to the switch, the tractor starts. Must be the switch, right? Pulled the switch out, tested it...

    L245DT won't turn over

Started my L245DT yesterday to move some snow. Today it won't turn over. I get a bright glow plug light, battery is fully charged and connections are all clean. No clicks or anything. Heading out to check the clutch safety switch and then start tracing wires from there if that doesn't work...

    Removing fan from water pump

Thank you both. I already got the pump off. I will take off the 4 bolts on the fan and hopefully I can get the rest of it apart Thanks again Bill

    Removing fan from water pump

Water pump failed on my L245, worked this afternoon out in the frigid Northeast to get the old one off. Wondering what the trick is to remove the fan and pulley from the water pump. I used my impact wrench to remove the 7/8" nut on front but the pulley and fan don't seem to want to come off...

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

My 1985 L245DT was running like crap last week. Changed the fuel filter, filled the new filter with fresh diesel, and then it wouldn't run at all. Karen is off this week so this morning I had her run the starter while I opened and closed fittings on the fuel pump and the injectors. When there...

    Hard steering

Neglected to ask the second part of the question. Has anyone here adapted an electric steering box/pump from a Saturn Vue to a Kubota? Looks like a handy set up and easy on the wallet too. thanks

    Hard steering

wondering if anyone knows of a power steering conversion or add on that would work with my L245DT. Busted my wrist a few months ago, not healing, looks like possible surgery. Would be nice to be able to steer the old girl with a load in the bucket thanks for any thoughts! Bill

    First project with the L245DT

Bought a 5' box scraper at Tractor Supply on Saturday, hooked it to the Tractor yesterday morning and gave my 450' driveway a face-lift. Once I broke through the frozen top inch, this thing just flat out tore into my driveway. Left the tractor in low gear, running about 1200 rpm, and the...

    New guy

Thanks for the welcome! I had the bug when I owned my B7500. The fact that this one came with toys - er - implements is just a bonus. Biggest issue is trying to satisfy my wants with a monthly income from SSDI lol.

    Loader specs

Trying to ID the loader on my new to me L245DT. Loader has been repainted. Looks like it should have been a L1700 or L1730. I would like to figure out what the lifting capacity is on this loader, and if anyone has a link to where I can get an owners manual. I have located a parts manual...

    New guy

Thanks guys. I am looking at the implements I have, mentally adding a box scraper and a backhoe and I need some sort of run in type of shed to keep everything, including a stall for the tractor. Right now it is in the garage but I need that space often to fix my old Suburban. Maybe a pole barn...

    New guy

Not sure if this is the best place for this but I am Bill, age 61, living in NH. I had a B7500 for many years but sold it to buy a car for my youngest to go to college. She paid everything else so I figured it was the least I could do. I just this week bought a 1985 L245DT with FEL, Bush Hog...
