    Chrome Crash Fedora

Sorry about the extremely late reply here, for some reason I did not see this in my pop-up and just was re-visiting some responses on here. My bad for not checking the thread again. I am sure you have resolved this, but I would guess that it was a GRUB or similar loader issue. That was...

Asphalt Millings for Driveway / Parking around shed?

Here is what has worked for me on a flatish driveway with millings vs. gravel. I use millings for my main drivevway that heads to the street (>1/3 mile long) and it works well here in MA; I usually get a couple of dumps every few years to fill in "cracks" and such from plowing the dirveway. I...

    L3540 Leak front driver-side axle

----closing thread---- As an update, and to close this thread, both sides of the axle (L/R) did require seals to be replaced. The center rim needed to be replaced as well. My Kubota dealer / repair shop was really great and helped me out and made the process easy. Thanks for the help.

    L3540 Leak front driver-side axle

Dave, Thank you. I have checked the plug and the oil came out, which I assume means that things are good there. As a note this was the first time I have seen any leaks in this area as I tend to inspect the tires before using. I will clean and see if I can determine a location. In terms of...

    L3540 Leak front driver-side axle

Thank you both for your replies, very helpful. A couple of follow-up questions: Axle: - Is it typical that with this amount of hours (~250hrs) that a front axle leak would occur? - I assume if one replaces seals on one side you do the other as well in terms of the axle? - Any idea on what I...

    L3540 Leak front driver-side axle

I was putting down some millings yesterday and after I was done I noticed a large amount of oil on the driver side front tire (see picture). I assume this is a seal that needs to be replaced? Or would / could it be something else to look for? I have seen many posts on leaks on the front axle...

hydraulic cap rubber head broke off - kubota l3540

Has anyone ever had the rubber head break off from the hydraulic cap? I could understand that one could rip off the little rubber loop from the cap, if they tried, but the odd thing is that it was on the ground and apparently broke off on its own. I checked the fluid and it was low, for...

    Heated (driveway) under millings

Has anyone tried to put either electric or hydronic under millings? I have been laying down dump trucks on my driveway a year, and wondered if in a small area this would be reasonable, and if anyone has experimented doing this in the past? Thanks

hydraulic fittings / adapters (snow plow hookup)

Thanks all, here is a postmortem of the hookup for this plow: - Picked up some new hoses with the correct hydraulic fittings - Welded on some braces and pins to connect to the 1/4" quick attach plate onto the plow. Attached it up today, and tested on some of the small amount of snow we had a...

hydraulic fittings / adapters (snow plow hookup)

Thanks guys. Will do. Is there any concern if there is residue that leaked into the hydraulic fluid in the tractor? If it does, is it a big issue? Thanks

hydraulic fittings / adapters (snow plow hookup)

As a follow-up on this, I am going to go down this week and try and figure out connector sizes, I have a question about connecting my used plow from my old pickup truck to my L3540. - I feel like I should clean out the fluid that is left over in the plow. In the truck I used transmission...

Quick attach handle stuck (l3540) FEL

So, I greased, WD'd, greased, and WD'd and let it sit. Could not move it. Tried a long bar and that leverage did not work. So, I grabbed a 8 foot utility pipe (for outside electrical), and used it as leverage. Slid it right over the handle and boo, it worked great. Nothing was bent, I...
