M7060 sputtering and die when pto engaged

Yes, could be a fuel problem, but maybe it's a problem with the sensor that detects the operator is in the seat? I know if I stand up while running mine it kills the engine. Ted

Can't read hydraulic oil dip stick level - use dye?

I wipe the dip stick clean and blacken the end with a magic marker. This lets you see the oil very well. I know that my father had used a torch to heat up the end of a dip stick until it turned blue from the heat. This is a more permanent solution to the magic marker.

Land Pro 5 foot brush hog separation

Not sure if I understand what you're saying 100%, but there are instructions on how to set the tension on the clutch so it will slip correctly. When I adjusted mine when I first got it, it was too tight. Hopefully, I have it set correctly now so it will slip rather than shear bolts. Ted

    L3560 snow removal help

I'm on the other side of the coin... I've got a L3560 with R1s and live in western NY in the country with over a 100 yard driveway with a hill (not real steep). I had the dealer throw in a set of chains as part of my deal when I got the tractor because the old Ford 600 I had (with R1s) needed...

Grand L series HST speed select question??

To be honest, I don't shift my L3560 very often usually keeping it in M, but I've never had a problem shifting it going into either L or H. I always do it stopped (no motion) and back off some on the RPM. The rabbit/turtle can be switched while moving, but I usually slow down before doing so. I...

Do you filter fuel into can or into tractor?

I bought an additional 5 gal diesel container and marked it "Filtered only". I keep this empty until I bring a different 5 gal container home with fuel in it. I put my fuel additives in the empty "Filter only" container (Stanadyne and anti-fungal) because I doubt they would pass through the Mr...

Another R-4 and R-1 tear up grass lawn.

I've got a L3560 w/cab so mine might be a little heavier than yours, but a lot depends on how much moisture you have in your soil and how hard packed it is... Especially in the springtime, and especially when I have my FEL on, my front R1s sink into the ground big time in my yard! Where it's...

NEED HELP !! Grand L4240 HST -3-point trouble

You've probably already checked this, but my L3560 has a lock under the seat for the rear 3P. If you work this back and forth does it change things? Just a thought... Good luck, Ted

Brand new L4701 lost oil plug and run dry

One thing I learned for this post is to check my oil plug for tightness next time before I use it!!! :) I did my own service, but hey you never know. Sh!t happens. I think doing so every once in a while after that would be a good practice and while I'm under there I'll check a few more things...

    Auto Throttle Advance

I've got a L3560 and only use the auto throttle advance (so far anyways) when I'm plowing snow. I like it then because when letting off on the foot pedal it allows me to lower the blade at lower hydraulic pressure/speed and helps keep it from banging the blade into the driveway so hard. Ted
