    l2501 sputtering

Well known issue with the 2501 that no-one 'knows' about...replaced my pump with a much bigger electric fuel pump and it runs like a champ---better than it ever did. It had the same stumbling problem at higher revs and under load. Kubota removed the mechanical pump, put a cover plate on it and...

    L2501 power upgrade

Thanks, I wouldn't doubt that at all...obviously mine was caput...still, remains curious there are several folks with the same L2501 model with the sputtering. What is the rated output psi of the pump...? I would think it would need to be high for the bigger machines. And if the same pump were...

    L2501 power upgrade

Thanks for your thoughts on this and what you thought I heard. The dealer reached out to Kubota who advised them they are seeing more and more of these issues under warranty and for the past year have been recommending this mod with the fuel supply system. Thanks, Scott.

    L2501 power upgrade

This is a new thread In Relation to a previous hi rev power issue. After some investigation and ultimately going yo the dealer, I was td by the dealer that Kubota has recognized the little mechanical pump on the l2501 is insufficient...at best it produces 1psi. The warranty repair is to now...

    L2501. Engine at higher revs

I am not sure if this is actually a problem or not. When I have the l2501 at max revs ...2400ish....I notice it tends to stumble and bog down under load...like it's running on 2 cyl and starved for fuel...I am aware the sweet spot is around 2200 but is this normal? I understand the engine was...
