    GR2120 or G21

Hi all, I’ve had my GR2120 for two years now, and I have to say, it’s a solid performer that has exceeded my expectations. The 20hp diesel motor is more powerful than the entry level BX series, and I have mowed grass that is 16” long or more with it. It’s true that you have too slow down a...

2782B snowblower: very disappointed in ability

I can’t offer any more help than the others, but I agree on removing the grate. I took it off mine after the first use. I have a GR2120 with a front mount 42” blower. Here in Nova Scotia we get heavy wet snow and I used it last week when we got 23” in a single snowfall. Some of the areas I was...

    Need a new one: T2290 or GR2120?

I have a GR2120 also. I have the 54” belly mower and a front mount snow blower for it. It is a pretty formidable little machine. I mow about 3 acres at at time with steep hills and some rough terrain. It can go up a 35-degree incline without missing a beat and it holds well on the bumpy...

    Battery Problems on my B7001

Maybe a bad starter solenoid? Even if there’s not enough cracking amps, it should still try to crank. Maybe, describe exactly what happens or take a video. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Kubota

I would try replacing it with a slow-blow fuse instead of increasing the amperage. That way you still have the proper protection with less incidence of popping from spikes. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

How much diesel treatment do you put in the tank?

While I don't disagree that some makes have reduced compression, I would suggest that in general compression is higher. We can speculate on why some brands chose to go lower, but that's all it would be, is speculation. Generally speaking though, higher compression = higher power and torque...

How much diesel treatment do you put in the tank?

Obviously, manufacturers want to make their engines cheaper, but their complaints often stem from lubricity. They already use the best materials in injectors and injection pumps, but wear has been an increasing issue. Partly due to tighter tolerance, but also due to the implementation of ULSD...

How much diesel treatment do you put in the tank?

I'm not making this stuff up. The diesel equipment manufacturers have been lobbying the US Gov for years to improve the standards due to high premature failure rates of diesel engines and components. This is particularly of concern with common rail engines. I had an injector seal blow through...

How much diesel treatment do you put in the tank?

I treat 250:1 - diesel:2-EHN, then a lubrication additive @ 500:1. Our fuel here in Canada is very poor quality. Most pump diesel has 40 - 42 cetane number. Almost all modern diesel engines were designed to run on 50 - 55 cetane. Remember all those Fords and Chevys with stretched head...

Lots of silicone on the trans strainer at 50 hrs

Fair enough. I use the Permatex thread sealant with FTPE, and it seems to do that every time. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Lots of silicone on the trans strainer at 50 hrs

I don’t think it’s carelessness; any sealant used squeezes out both sides when a part is assembled. If it doesn’t, then you haven’t used enough. This is specifically why they have you do a 50 hour service, to get all the crud out from the break-in period. It looks like the strainer has...

    g1700 fuel shutoff solenoid

I would check all the connections and make sure they’re clean an not corroded, but you’ll probably just need to replace it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    help! GR2120 wont start....

Something I make a practice out of is, when checking any electrical connections, I apply dielectric grease to them to prevent further or future corrosion. That tends to resolve and prevent about 90% of all electrical gremlins. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
