Surprise: B26 TLB available below MSRP

Drum rolls please … ELEVEN months after ordering a B26 TLB, it has arrived at the dealership with my name on it. It came from Japan to Toronto in July on a crate, without tires (they all do) and from July to now it took to get the tires and ship it to Nova Scotia for the install my list of...

Surprise: B26 TLB available below MSRP

Update. The B26 was supposed to arrive at the Nova Scotia dealership on Jan 31st. It hasn‘t. No delivery date is known. The dealer however still commits to the price and terms, which once adjusted for specs, is about 13% below MSRP. I just checked and Kubota has removed any price point for...

Surprise: B26 TLB available below MSRP

I am surprised that on the USA-based auction sites, the B26 is sold throughout without any options. Going through the first two dozens of listings, none come with the backhoe thumb, or the 3pth, or 3rd function valve, or rear hydraulics. It appears that almost everyone buys the B26 bare bones...

Surprise: B26 TLB available below MSRP

Yes it's lovely around here. The mountains are just the right size, it's a sea of green wherever you look, frequent rain and the rain is evenly spaced throughout the year, no big droughts, no big heatwaves, no coldwaves either (plenty of snow, though), bald eagles circling the skies, long and...

Surprise: B26 TLB available below MSRP

Lake Ainslie area in Inverness county. There are rarely stones heavier than what you can pick up readily with two hands. Ag Canada classifies the area as Category 4 farmland, which is the worst cropland category, but still cropland. Limiting factors here are acidic soils, imperfect drainage...

Surprise: B26 TLB available below MSRP

Mud is a common soil condition here in the Maritimes, its an area of high rainfall and my land is a mix of river floodplain agricultural quality soil but with imperfect drainage due to a clay substrate, and sloped forest soils with variable moisture and clay. My little 30 year old Kubota F2000...

Surprise: B26 TLB available below MSRP

Yes 15% HST on top. Are deals better in the USA? I spec‘d it on the US Kubota site and the listed price is $44k, so discounts would have to be north of 10%.

Surprise: B26 TLB available below MSRP

Here in Canada (Nova Scotia), the Kubota website lists the barebones B26 TLB at CAD 52,000. FEL bucket, 3rd function valve, backhoe bucket, thumb, three point hitch, are extras. However, I have received a quote for all those elements included for CAD 51,000 and free delivery in February. This...

F2000 capable of pulling a dump cart?

Update: My F2000 with dump cart. Supremely happy with it and it's my first tractor. Filled the cart with heavy wet clay and drove it up a hill in 4WD and with the chains on.

    f2400 engine struggles under load

I would first check cylinder compression. Compression might be good enough to run the engine as long as it doesn't have much of a load. My F2000 has weak compression and I was told if I used it as a mower, there'd be problems. However, I use it only to pull a dump cart around the farm, thus...

    Mower Deck RC72-F24

From what I read, gear box problems are not unheard of on these F models. I have an F2000 that came without the mower, again cause the gearbox broke on the previous owner. Given the other strengths of this tractor, a solution is a self powered tow behind mower like the the Swisher or Acrease...

Spiked chains or ag tires on long grassy wet hill?

Thank you! The big front wheels can be tilted in or out on the F2000, for two different front tire widths. It is a good question if the wider setting suffices. I do not know. I just sent an email to my local Kubota dealership asking this question and enquired about the availability of...

Spiked chains or ag tires on long grassy wet hill?

Splendid point. It makes perfect sense. An aggressive chain prevents the necessary slippage that without chains would occur to make permanent 4WD safe on a farm dirt road. I am taking heed. Thank you to all the contributers thus far.

Spiked chains or ag tires on long grassy wet hill?

Thanks; and though off-topic for the thread, I plan to keep it in 4WD permanently, here on the farm. From what I read you only need to take it into 2WD if you go down a (paved) road or you worry about leaving marks.
