Short update. Got the winch all hooked up and ran a few test runs getting a dead mulberry tree out first. I think it will work as long as I work with the limitations of power from the PTO. Time will tell.

I checked that out,that igland is a 7700 lb winch. That's why I was considering the 9000lb pull wallenstein.

Finally gave up on the idea of driving into this ground. Looking at a forestry winch to pull the locust out.

Have an LX2610 and am looking at getting a forestry winch. Found a Wallenstein FX90 local for a decent price but is it too much for this tractor? The FX90 is listed as for 30-80 horsepower and the LX is a few horse below that. Any members have experience with skidding winch setups and if used...

Looking for ideas for some kind of tire to run on my RTV that is a run flat design. I need to work on clearing up around 17 acres that has a ton of honey locust trees and just walking around I can see standard tires on my tractor or side by side wouldn't last a day working out here.

Is the mower still on order? If so see if the dealer will change it to a 3pt finish mower. If not see if you can find a 3pt mower and sell the mid. I know,huge pain in the ass but if you want to add spacers it's probably the easiest route.

Good question. I didn't order the mower so can't give a good answer. I'm going with the 3pt finish mower instead.

I went with the stock kubota spacers on my LX2610 ( 1.5 inch per side) and the dealership told me that even that much I would not be able to run a mid mount mower. Your mileage may vary....
