    noisy brakes

No sign of water, but I think I may be the first person to open the nut on the mid pto. I left this to settle for a few days but there was no change. I think I will change the oil and filter.

    noisy brakes

How would I check for this? Also, I borrowed a tipper trailer a while back and could that have ruined the oil?

    noisy brakes

Hi Guys, Just what it says. The brakes are making a horrible noise when applied. It happened suddenly. Would they wear out like that? Is it a big job to replace them? I have never worked on wet brakes before. Found a YouTube video belonging to someone else Kubota L3450 DT GST Thanks

    Loads of smoke

I'll check the water separator. It seemed slightly down on power the previous day. I had the air filter out a couple of days ago and it was fine. Smoke was pretty dark, but not black Thanks

    Loads of smoke

I was heading out to do some cutting today, maybe 2 miles from the house. Everything was going fine until I was climbing a hill. Just as I got to the top, clouds of smoke came billowing out the exhaust and breather. Tractor lost all power and I knocked it off. Temp gauge rose a little too...

Possibly an optical illusion. One is perfect. They are just thrown on the tyre for safe keeping. They run in a gentle curve from the fender, under the floor board, and straight to the spool block.

Hi guys, that is the control for the rear spool valves. Below are photos of the loader control valve box and one of the bent cable

The joystick has the travel, but when it goes forward, it goes to the right. One of the cables is bent, but that might be from trying to force it. Is there supposed to be a rusty ball bearing somewhere?

    Loader control removal

Thankfully, there was just a pin joining the cables to the piston. I know what you mean about the rust. Funnily, the rest of the old girl is in great shape. While I'm at it, where would I go looking to fix the float detent. The joystick won't go all the way forward into float. Thanks for the...

    Loader control removal

Is anything going to go flying if I open these covers? I figure if I open these I will get enough slack to get to the nuts at the bottom of the square upright

Thanks, Got them. The cables are attached to a plate down inside the square upright thing. The holes in the mudguard are the size of the cables
