Back then most kids were smart enough that if they did something stupid on the playground equipment and got hurt, they usually didn't do it again. Unless they were double dog dared to do it.

Electronic torque wrenches ... are they worth the cost?

I have Snap-On 3/8" and 1/2" twist handle torque wrenches from the 80s, and a friend who repairs tools checked them a couple of years ago for me, since I do some engine work. Both were still with 2% over most of their ranges. They don't see a lot of use, but I am religious about backing them all...

Anyone enjoying consecutive days and nights of too cold weather?

We are already above normal for snowfall this winter, so I have been able to use my JD430 with a blower more than in the last 3 years combined. It hasn't been above 20° in over 3 weeks, and has hovered around 0° to 10° for a couple of days at a time. The cold doesn't really bother me that much...

Help with B7100 front 4x4 axle

In my years of experience, if I had a pin that gave me trouble taking grease, as long as it wasn't the zerk, unless I took it out and cleaned the passages, just forcing it to take grease meant you were going to have trouble with it taking grease again in the future. Do it right and be done with it.

    BX transmission cooling fan

Although the fan is in good shape on my BX, I have thought about 3D printing a 2 piece fan to replace it if it ever failed. Wonder why i took so long to finally come up with something that obvious.

    CORN!

When I tore my Nova apart for restoration, there was a nest in the heater box and they had chewed up the plastic blower fan to where it was unusable. The metal housing was full of pinholes eaten in it by mouse pee.
