    B2150 Fuel Tank Leaking

Did a ton of research to fix mine. Do NOT use internal coating kits. Several of the better makers stated that the only process that will remove the diesel paraffin from the pores of the metal is sandblasting. They won't guarantee it in used diesel tanks. Considering the sketchy performance of...

    Fuel sending unit ohm info

The wiper that travels across the resister on mine had lost it's spring tension and was only reading about 1/2 the length of the resister before losing contact. Only read part of the tank then stopped. I pulled the cover off and bent the wiper back down. Works fine now.

    L2350 fuel sending unit

Your tank looks identical to my L2250. Different part number (on coleman's website) probably because mine has two drain-back inlets, instead of one like yours. If the shape is pretty much identical, you can use the fuel gauge listed on my page under "electrical > switch and regulator"...

Fuel tank--where are the normal and reserve outlets located?

You are correct. I assumed with the dual "on" position on my fuel filter/switch one was a reserve, like on my motorcycles. It is not. The tank drain on the bottom is almost level with floor of the tank. Sticks up about 1/8", and that's about how deep the crud was. Finally decided to pull the...

Fuel tank--where are the normal and reserve outlets located?

Went back to this thread to post my final result and don't see either reply! So as not have yalls think me rude, I will reply. Dunno, maybe I previewed and never hit reply. Anyways it is an L2250. I used to post on another forum and was always in the L2250 forum, so I forgot I need to mention my...

Fuel tank--where are the normal and reserve outlets located?

I'm cleaning the crud from my fuel tank with the tank in place. Does anyone know the internal arrangement of the reserve outlet and the normal outlet in the fuel tank? With the fuel level sender removed, I can see one outlet in the bottom center of the tank. I would assume it is the reserve...

Drop the hammer on L2250 or no? A few problems

The seller has a three ring binder printed copy, but I will check the link to see it it is any different. I believe the light that is on is a battery icon. I checked the voltage with the tractor running, and there is no voltage increase. Never heard of a low electrolyte warning on any equipment...

Drop the hammer on L2250 or no? A few problems

Hey guys, Did some homework before I went forth. Comp'ed 6 other 2250's with FEL's. Averaged $7500 (asking) after adding and subtracting for suspected hours. The hour meter actually works on this unit, so 3400 may be actual. Alternators on the Internet are $60-150 shipped. The fan shaft is...

Drop the hammer on L2250 or no? A few problems

Pics did not post in my last replay. Here they are (I think). They appear in a separate dialog box, but don't seem to be loading onto my thread .

Drop the hammer on L2250 or no? A few problems

Thanks for the quick responses. I will be looking at this tomorrow, so this is helpful. I repair all sorts of equipment, but not familiar with this unit. I'm aware the guy is BS'ing me. Tried to tell me the Kubota dealer said these older units show a "battery light" for no reason LOL. That's...

Drop the hammer on L2250 or no? A few problems

Hey guys, I'm looking at a Kubota L2250 with FEL for the second time tomorrow. Will address some problems with the seller, and possibly negotiate a price. It "looks" typical of a machine of it's age. Scruffy, but no major rust. Forgot to ask if hour meter works, but it's showing 3400. Starter...

    Looking at L245DT w/weak FEL

Thanks for the response, guys. I watched some videos on this tractor/loader. The lift is definitely slow on the one I'm looking to buy compared to the videos. Also, the loader in the vids will lift the front of the tractor with no effort. If my research is correct, there is nothing I can't fix...

    Looking at L245DT w/weak FEL

Found an L245 4x4 w/loader for sale for $3850. Runs OK, steering link a bit sloppy, decent ag rubber. Looks to have several thousand hours on it. Owner felt that hydraulics were a bit slow, with some weakness. He cleaned screen (was cruddy), changed oil, but not much change. He added a "shim"...
