I don’t have a flow diverter valve for the three point cylinder on my tractor. Is the valve a option that my tractor didn’t come with? I don’t know what year the tractor is, but it is later than any S/N I can find on line.

What, if any emissions equipment does it have? If you have a Particulate filter in the exhaust, you definitely want to run at over 2000 RPM. The filter clogs due to soot, and you will soot far more at low RPM. The filter is cleared by heat during a regen cycle.

Normally a block heater either threads into the block, or replaces a freeze plug. Other than it has to physically fit, a higher quality one will last longer before it fails. I don’t happen to own that model of tractor, so I can help much there. I don’t recommend leaving it plugged in at all...
