I had the same issue as you have, but since I put a thin coating of anti-seize on the two alignment pegs, the issue went away for me. Now it's much easier to reattach.

I felt that was worth it. I changed the fluid and pulled the suction screen to find the screen had assembly silicone and shavings in it. For my peace of mind, I am happy I did.

I have seen those type washers for air filters that have a stud and wing nut to hold the air filters in trucks and equipment.

My manual says HST filter only at 50hrs as well, but I went with the WSM, which says both filter and screen cleaning with fluid change.

RCW, I did check the front axle when it hit the ground on delivery day in July and it was low. I filled it then, but I went ahead change it as well yesterday. Probably wasn't needed, but I'm the type of guy that feels that most factory assembly is not done in a perfectly clean environment.

I have the BB1248 for my BX23S and I'm happy with it, it has worked good for me. I've used it to level humps and bumps in the yard and the rocked driveway. I think the BB1248 is a bit heavier than the BB0548.
