Lynn - - that's not a joke at all. Good information.

People are fixated on those dates including my Mrs.

A lot of stuff gets thrown away needlessly.

There are exceptions.

I dealt with a pretty sick old timer years ago with Listeriosis. He had whole milk in his refrigerator that was 8 (?) weeks out of date. Listeria can grow at refrigeration temperatures. Surprisingly, his milk in the fridge wasn't "spoiled" but loaded with it.

The nearest street light where I grew up was, I think, about 7 miles away. That was just at the intersection of my road and the highway. The next nearest light was probably another mile past that.
We knew all of our neighbors. Our neighbors lived up to 5 miles away. It's not hard to remember a dozen names.

What street lights???? We live where the only light outside is when the deer trip the motion light over where we park
