Was going through my 100 hour service yesterday. I noticed the brake pedal free play was significantly more than what the manual calls for.
I don't have the manual in front of me, I'll try to double check the spec tomorrow.
I believe it's 1.4 inches of free play?
My pedal has several inches. 2-3+
It's been this way since I got it, and I've had no braking issues.

Any recommendations?
Should I adjust it to the spec? Is the spec off?

I'm referring to my service brake, not the parking brake.
Both work perfectly fine.
I'm only questioning because the manual gave me a spec that my tractor is well outside of while working perfectly.
When I head outside I'll measure what my tractor has.
I may call the dealer and see what they have to say too.

It isn't a brake in the sense of a brake on a car. It is a parking brake to keep the tractor from rolling away when the engine is off and you are not in the operator's station. If it holds your tractor on an incline, then leave it alone. I am assuming that you know how to lock it into the on position?

I have the WSM.
And I'm referring to the service brake, not the parking brake.
I added some more info to my first post.

It actually is like a car. :)
The parking brake is a toothed pawl that holds the service brake on.
It just uses the service brake pedal and rods instead of cable(s).

I'm referring to the service brake, not the parking brake.:)

Brake pedal has almost exactly 2 1/2 inches of freeplay.
Adjust to spec, that is why they publish that little operator manual and send one with each tractor.

Right.
The little operator manual (and the big WSM) are know for never having a misprint or incorrect information in them either.

It seemed odd it would be that much off straight from the factory.

I swung by the dealer and checked the ones on the lot, and they all had much less play, in line with the manual.
So mine is way off.
Note for anyone else searching this.
