Does anyone here buy themselves a Christmas present? I typically do, and use this time of year to buy myself a "luxury" item. Something that I don't need, can't really justify, but would quite like to have.

I have plenty of firearms so it's not like I need another, but I ordered a Springfield Armory Hellcat Pro with threaded barrel. It comes with a 15 and 17-round magazine, and the GEAR UP program adds three extra magazines and a range bag at no extra cost. Merry Christmas! :ROFLMAO:

Can afford to because i spent it all on the wife and the boys. That Hellcat is nice, but a non-existent beast in these parts.

Merry Christmas to you indeed!
Thanks! I might end up using it for CC if I like it, but I've been carrying Ruger KLCRs for close to 12 years now and most likely won't make a change. I bought a SIG P320 when they first came out since I'd never owned a striker fired pistol. I never really took to it despite being a diehard SIG fan since '92 so hopefully this will be a better experience.

I'm a bolt action, lever action and revolver kind of guy to be honest, but like most firearms.

2023 sucked so I got myself a real nice gift for the holiday. 450 miles in the first week Bad news is that the phone tracking app that we have for grandkid notified her mother that I had 39 speed reports 80+ mph and one hit at 95.

Now THAT's a great Christmas gift to yourself! (y) I don't know much about motorcycles but that's a cool looking speeding ticket.

But does it take Glock mags?

Ongoing joke on another forum I’m on.

I don’t buy myself a Christmas present, just purchase what I need when needed.

I guess you can call it that! I did receive a new Thermal scope in the mail Saturday that I ordered for coyote hunting.. I have been using a nightvision setups for years now but the thermal scope will be way better than the infrared scopes I have been using. Nothing warm bodied can hide from me now!

well, Yes. Yes I did.

Received a nice "consumables" package about an hour ago. Hopefully it gets me through to November 2024.

I'm interested in a thermal set up too, particularly since the quality is going up and prices coming down. What did you buy?

I have that same LNL press and it's really good. I also have a Dillon 550, RCBS PiggyBack II and a Redding single stage. Luckily I've been buying primers, powder and components for decades so have a lot of inventory. When I worked for Remington I was able to take a lot of "stuff" home such as 5,000 pieces of new Lapua .338 LM brass and a similar number of Lapua Scenar 250gr bullets. H1000 seems to be available but the prices are kind of ridiculous.

@dirtydeed, I made the riser for the LNL press from part of an old Jeep bumper, and a riser for the RCBS PiggyBack II from an old Jeep TJ tire carrier.

From this ....

I don’t buy myself a Christmas present. But I do buy a firearm (because I keep having boating accidents) most every year with a portion of my annual bonus from work. I also take the spousal unit out to really nice meal that we would not normally afford from same bonus check (I try to take care of the one that takes care of me). In years when I get a promotion (rare) I splurge and buy really expensive firearm (ie GA Precision - boating accident, was the last splurge…FA83 on order as current splurge, not sure if it floats yet or not.). Normally I have a 1-3 yr forcast/need to buy by window and try to buy ahead of actual need when on sale. 🥃
