well now............ Yes and no!Hi. Wondering if the wheels off of a 2023 BX2380 will mount on a 2023 BX1880? Are the bolt patterns the same? Thanks for any help!
Thanks!!well now............ Yes and no!
If have to run and do some things for my wife.
I will come back and tell you in full detail
Copy that! Thanks for your help!!so...
yes they will fit - but, be aware the the 1880 uses a front rim size of 7.5 width - and the 2380 use a 8.5 front width, so what's the problem?
that 8.5 will reach and rub the steering knuckle - and bind the front rim up!
the ratio is about the same - very very close btw.
SO - the answer ??? Get a set of 1/2 shims and place them on the front - yeah I know the front shim police will have a field day on this - but is simply pulls the front out JUST enough to make it work.
I have them on my BX1850 and they were off a BX2370 - 4wd works fine and it gives you a bit more clearance and a bit more smoother ride.
Be careful with this - you REALLY need to measure the rolling circumference of the set you have NOW and then do the same with the new set.... new set needs to be on the rims and inflated tooWould putting front wheel spacers cure this problem? I've been wanting to put the larger wheels and tires on my BX 1800.
I tried that and it did not keep the front left tire from rubbing the mower deck. One thing to note here is that the mower deck that you have will affect what rubs and where. So, as I stated above, I have the RCK54P mower deck. Even if you have a 54" mower deck on your BX1800, your machine may not have the same results as mine does because some differences exist between some vintages of machines and even mower decks made for those different vintage machines. So unless someone chimes in with the same vintage machine as yours, you will have to make your own measurements to know for certain what will work.Would putting front wheel spacers cure this problem? I've been wanting to put the larger wheels and tires on my BX 1800.
they are an exact fit as the frame and drivetrain are the same parts. I changed my bx1880 wheels to bx2380 wheels and it works perfectly.Hi. Wondering if the wheels off of a 2023 BX2380 will mount on a 2023 BX1880? Are the bolt patterns the same? Thanks for any help!
they have the same gears, drivetrain and frame. All part numbers match. Rolling circumference would not be an issue.Be careful with this - you REALLY need to measure the rolling circumference of the set you have NOW and then do the same with the new set.... new set needs to be on the rims and inflated too
the ratio from large to small or the other way around has to be verrry close or bad things will happen.
I have the wheels and tires from a BX2360 on my BX1860. The front tires do not bind on the steering knuckle but the front left one did rub on my RCK54 MMM when turning left. I cured that by adjusting the turn stop nut so that the tire does not rub when turning left. This made my left turns a little wider than right turns.
There is one other effect to note. The air pressures in the rear tires must be adjusted lower because if you run stock air pressure in the rear tires then the rolling circumference ratio between the front and rear tires changes and puts extra stress on the 4WD. This is because the wider tires will bow and the outer portion of the tread will not touch the ground and the effect is the same as putting on a taller tire. If you adjust the rear tire pressure to make sure that the full width of the tires are touching the ground then the RC will be close enough to correct so as not to present any problems. All of this is my experience, your experience may vary.
I run my rear tires at 12psi and they are loaded with windshield washer fluid. My front tires are also loaded with WWF and I keep the front pressure at 22psi. I also have 360 pounds of barbell weights on the 3pt most of the time.I know this is a few year's old, but curious what PSI you run your rears at? I to have an 1860 and I also went from the stock tires to the slightly larger 23xx tires but didn't think of running at lower pressure. Not sure if it matters, but my rear tires are loaded with beet-juice.
Thanks!
Any issues with the 54" mower deck hitting the tires? I do like the larger tires though.they are an exact fit as the frame and drivetrain are the same parts. I changed my bx1880 wheels to bx2380 wheels and it works perfectly.
