I was told that you can check hydro level at any time, with loader/backhoe any position and the fluid would be the same level. Well, that wasnt true, diff positions produced diff results, so, I started the tractor to see what the running level was, like in a auto trans car. When I pulled the filler plug, the tranny was LOADED with air bubbles.

I thought the tractor was low on fluid, but, playing with the implements, I would get either a perfect level, or, over filled level, so, it has/had enough fluid. I started it back up and it would foam up again.

It seems to foam up to the bottom of the filler plug hole. Thats about 1"-2" or so of space before the normal level is.

Is that normal?

Bubbles ARE not normal, you have an air infiltration somewhere, most likely on the low pressure side.

Return oil is going to naturally aerate and form bubbles as it is sprayed into the reservoir. Should not be a bubble bath in there.

Your explanation is confusing.

First you say bubbles..... THEN you say Foam.

slight bubbles is normal. Foam is NOT.

Well, I think I know Bubbles pretty well, and while she's not the heaviest gal I've met, she's sure not "slight"!

And there ain't no way I'd call her normal! 🤪

(Don't mind me. I'm in the middle of a remoderalating project, and the creative stupidity in the original wiring in this house has me laughing at everything in the world, just out of self-defense. I have hot wires just dangling inside walls, circuits which are not connected, but sharing the same box, and other circuits that don't seem to be connected to any circuit breaker, but they are hot anyway. Rednecked off of a 240 circuit? That's the next thing to check, right after lunch. Oh, and every circuit is 12 gauge on a 20 amp breaker. Even just bedroom lights.)
