Well the good news is I've moved 2-3 tandem loads of dirt over the past 2 days, ZERO issues. Would have moved more but Mother Nature decided to 'cry' BIG time !
I know the new welds will outlive me.
Sad thing is Kubota wanted close to $3000 CDN for the 2 arms and tube naked 'assembly' !! That's about 15% of what I paid for the WHOLE tractor, 5 years ago.yeesh....

UPDATE: I wrote Kubota Canada this morning, curious if mine was one of several on the assembley line with this failure.....time passes..... just got email from Galer ( my dealer).... there's a generous 'store credit' on my account !!! Something I wasn't expecting but is appreciated..
Now...hmm....will the credit cover the cost of a spray bomb of orange paint ????

booboo repaired !!!
Neighbour fixed BOTH sides BEFORE I took SSQA frame over for 'aligning' the arms ! His work table is a 6 by 10 slab of steel 4" thick, precision ground flat and true. So as of noon, 'Humpty Dumpty' is back into service and NO 'extra' parts on the work bench. I'd thought I'd get it back Saturday afternoon so super happy now that I can go play......
He said it was a bad weld from the factory and since he has a wall full of welding 'tickets', I believe him.

Both sides, good.

I have 3 HH close to me , only ONE actually had stock, and no 'online stock checking', have to call every store,kind of a pain.
I know CTC updates their online inventory every 8 minutes.
Silly RONA don't have prices on lumber, Homer does though.

To the right side of the item, it says, "check availability at other stores" The closest store to you with stock is Naborhood Home hardware on Barton Street in Hamilton. They show six in stock.

That is cold lapping. Not enough heat and too fast on the travel. Mig looks easy, but can be screwed up just as easily.
