I bought a b5001, the Serial number plate is scuffed up or worn down a lot because it is right by your clutch pedal, what you can read is in english and then it repeats itself in french.
Does this mean that this unit was sold new in Canada? Or is it still what they call a grey market machine?

The serial Number is not on a plate, it will be stamped in the side of the clutch housing.
It might be B5001-XXXXX or some variation of that.
What do the hood labels say it is, a B5001 or B5100?
If it's in English it's very likely it's really is a B5100.
Even if the serial Number does start with a B5001 does not mean it's a B5001, as they used the same housing for both.
Give me the serial number and I'll be able to tell you if it's a grey or not.

I took a picture of the serial number and the plate, it is hard to read but the top line on the plate I believe says b5100E
The serial number in the cast is 8 or is it a B5001E-15147
There is no sticker on the hood, that is the only place on the tractor where there is a lot of rust, rest of the tractor has very little rust.
