I have a few other posts in other groups here but thought I would document my current project.

B6000DT w/ B-219 FEL - How I got it:

IMG_0888.jpg

IMG_0862.jpg

IMG_0863.jpg

What has been done so far:

Tranny flush 4x to get rid of the water mustard mix , filter cleaned and topped back off with Kubota UDT.
Engine Oil drain, filter cleaned, diesel flush , 2 fills with cheap 10w30 and finally w/ 10w30 for "diesel engines" lol
All fitting lubricated.
New radiator in transit for next week. (temporarily JB Weld fixed puncture)
B-219 Front End Loader Hydraulics Flushed 3x, filter cleaned each flush and final fill with Kubota UDT
Fuel filter replaced and line cleaner/injector cleaner additive
New fan belt coming in a few days.

Today as I tested the radiator patch and since I had time , decided to strip all the paint , sand down the copious amounts of rust and got 4" led round LED headlamps.

Granted I didn't kill myself on sanding the bucket and I am not a pro painter. This is a work tractor not a restoration princess. But that aside I took as much care as I could muster to do a decent job. Have to wet sand the hood and fenders tomorrow once cured and respray. Then....... Rustoleum charcoal grey the 3 pt hitch , transaxle and frame.

One pic mid-process:

After paint before and sanding:

IMG_0974.jpg

Don't mind the overspray , trans is next w/Rustoleum Grey

IMG_0977.jpg

Bucket was an afterthought... minimal sand and just sprayed lol

IMG_0979.jpg

IMG_0972.jpg

I didn't go crazy taping off the hydro lines as they all need replacing as they fail anyway. :p

UPDATE:

Things to order:

ROPS - Kubota Dealer is unable to source one. Have a lead in the midwest.
Ballast Box off 3pt hitch - Loaded bucket makes manual steering a total buzzkill. Ordered Ballast Box 3 Point Category 1 DONE
FEL Pallet Forks from Titan DONE
LED Light Bar - For the front. DONE
LED Work / Flood Lights - For the rear. Ordered Sealed LED 4" Jeep LED Fogs DONE
Tires - These have no tubes and are cracked to hell.... And have them filled.
Hydraulic Lines - They have seen better days and are dry and cracking, some have rub wear. Will wait till they start failing to save some $$. DONE
Hood decals - Might as well at this point... May print and clear coat them to save > $100

Things to do:
Wet sand hood and fenders , respray and then clear coat. DONE
Paint frame, 3pt bars and frame Kubota Grey DONE
Install new radiator once it arrives. DONE
Install new shifter boot one it arrives : as thats how the trans was filled w/water. DONE
Pray the reason I can't shift out of 4wd is that the spring and lever is rusted to hell.
Find another muffler I can adapt w/o having to change the exhaust manifold.
Figure out the wiring harness to attach lights, someone made a hell of a mess with it. DONE

Stretch Goals:

Rebuild hydraulic pump
Find belt for my non-standard B-219 FEL install that doesn't run off chain.
Rebuild remote hydro off the tranny for implements.
Source a Plow blade and repurpose bucket tilt hydro for left/right pivot.

Love to say I will do it but wont until I have to:

Rebuild engine, rings, gaskets etc.

Did the grey today and stripped the hood down to bare metal and repainted as it was too pitted with rust under the last painters work. Granted the hood is beat to hell but at least the paint is fresh and smoother.

All buttoned up until the radiator and lights get put in.

One new issue is that it must be sucking air somewhere because under load today with down pressure got oil blowing out of the fill port/breather cap.

Before 2 hours of work pushing trees, stumps and firewood.

Quite the project! Got it mechanically clean and the body prettied up. Nothing more rewarding then taking something others give up on and make something useful out of it. It proves your problem solving ability!!

Made some more progress with touch up paint today.

Installed sealed beam LED Jeep 4" lights as headlights.
Installed two rear spot LED lights.
Installed new rubber boot for trans shifter

What sucked is my light switch doesn't seem to work, tested the lights on the other tractor and worked fine against the rear contacts but not on the loader machine. Need to buy some more wire to finish wiring the rear right and also a par of old fashioned toggle/flip switches like the front pto switch style.

IMG_1067.jpg

IMG_1062.jpg

The light output is very clean white , iPhone color balanced funny and looks yellowish

IMG_1060.jpg

IMG_1058.jpg

Only one rear is wired up, ran out of wire lol

I may need to print my own decals and clear coat them . All the decal kits I see are $100+ ?!?

Overall really happy that the "ugly" one is mechanically sound and now looks better to match.

Waited for dark to see how the lights *really* work LOL

The fronts headlamps are leveled but the photo's have the tractor pointing at a hill (base of trees are about 3ft above the tractor).

(Only one of the rears are connected too)

IMG_1071.jpg

Tractor rear is atop a ramp/mound about 3-4ft above grade of driveway. Land slopes up away from the garage.

UPDATE : Rewired to factory switch afternoons finding the 12V supply was not wired to the switch.

More progress today , parts came in ... well most of them :) Fedex lost my Ballast Box from Titan :( Titan stepped up and shipped another today at no charge via UPS and gave me a credit for the trouble. Can't say enough about how nice they were and made right what FedEX screwed up big time.

Anyway... today was hydraulic line replacement day.

Old ones:

Tomorrow new radiator, hour meter and finish wiring lights while I wait for the hydraulic return line , I ordered the wrong diameter one :(

Also got in Titan Screw On Pallet Forks , simple and effective for what I need to use them for. Once the 3 pint Ballast Box comes in I plan on welding storage brackets so they can be stowed and available whenever I need them (and add 60 some lbs of more ballast weight). They are rated (1500lbs) for more weight than the B219 can lift (500lbs) .

Since you are limited by the tractor's lifting ability you should not have bucket bending woes.

True my only real woe's are lack or ROPS and waiting on the damn ballast box to help stabilize when lifting and offload front axle lifting things .

That appears to have the same loader as my "77" B7100.,
The difference being ..mine runs off a seperate crank mounted pump.
Yours looks like it had something mounted on front bumper area at one time.
I'd rather that mine ran off the tractors pump vs this bumper mounted thing.

Is there a reason some used a seperate pump?
perhaps some were factory installed loaders and others installed by dealers?

Where do the lines that power the loader attatch to Your Tractor?
