The lift pin on my Kubota l4200 sheared off while using it yesterday dragging a tree. I have been studying the teardown manual this morning, and it looks like replacement requires removing a decent amount of the rear end. I am pretty mechanically inclined, but my mechanical work has been limited to replacing clear bolt on parts and assemblies and oil changes.

A local shop can fix it for me, but I would lose the use of machine for six weeks or more.

Has anyone replaced the lift pin or lift arm assembly before and is there any advice you can offer?

Describe what you are calling the "Lift Pin"

By lift pin, I mean the large machined pin that connects the two lift arms that goes through the top of the hydraulic lift assembly. It’s what rotates to raise and lower the three point lifts.

That is called the rock shaft, or what Kubota calls a hydraulic arm shaft.

That is a fairly easy fix, not too much in heavy parts to remove.
