Thanks for the great site. Now I've bought a ZL2201 I've been resurching all I am about it. This site has been so helpfull.
Having decided to grease all the steering I noticed that there is what looks liked aPTO shaft coming from the front of the engine. Is this a PTO shaft? If so does it run at 540RPM. Would I be able to run a hydrollic pump off this? I've got this tractor for my fencing & Lanscaping business with the intention of running a post driver/ auger from the rear 3pt linkage. However if I could drive a hyd pump from this shaft I would be able to fabricate linkage to carry a post driver etc leaving the rear 3PT free for other implements. All help ideas welcome.
How can I find the age of my tractor or the period it was in production from?? Great site very helpfull

yes that is a PTO and it is often used to run a hydraulic pump for when someone adds a Front End Loader (FEL) for reasons you described. As to RPM.... it spins at whatever RPM the engine is spinning. You can see from the pic below it is just a splined end on the Crankshaft. Maybe someone can come up with a pic of the pump attached. Searched for about half hour but could not find one.

Edited to say grease as intended. Thanks for the reply. I assumed the shaft came off the crank but either way I'm pleased to hear I will be able to drive a pump off it. The fabrication side will be fine just trying to locate the parts needed will be the chalaging part. Has anyone got any photos of this shaft powering a hydrollic pump? I've never worked on hydroponics before but understand the basics so hoping I can do what I plan. I'm hoping to have it set up using quick release couplings so I can use various attachments like auger/ postdriver & hydrollic breaker keeping the rear end free to tow a trailer for materials etc. I would love to fit a FEL but imadgen I will find this hard to find & think it's beond my ability to make one. All help & tips welcome so please help. Thanks Stu

There are three "small" FEL builder shops here in the US that make FEL's for older and Grey Market Tractors. I would bet there are similar shops in England too. Just takes a lot of searching initially to find them. With this you could get a FEL plus suspect they would be willing to include a valve and quick connect for your other items. Just a thought.

One of the three here may know of a FEL builder on your side of the pond? For Shitz and Grinz try calling them. See Implements ULTIMATE READ ME for the links to discussions and contact info on them

Thanks guys all replys are welcomed as it's all new to me. I'll look into finding somewhere that's makes & sells a loader on this side of the pond. Thanks for photo showing the shaft hooked upto a pump it looks ideal being nice & small. I'm guessing it's got a tank for the fluid bolted somewhere ??
I would really like to know how old this tractor is likely to be if anyone can help. Even just years it was produced would be great.
I've got loads of questions but don't want to bore people with them all in one go so will ask from time to time about them as they are needed thanks great help great site

In the case of the B219, the right hand upright for the FEL is the tank. Note the suction hose at the bottom of the upright, and the return hose from the spool valve about halfway down.

and a note for those who might not know...... those are not chain drive attachments.... that is a set of Roller Chain Couplings. Where a double-wide chain sits atop two separate sprockets creating a coupling of whatever each sprocket is attached too.

Was at this link for other reasons and hopped over to Leon's; one of the Aftermarket FEL manufacture linked in above thread) and low and behold they do sell products in Europe.
