Well, my new to me L2950 GST fried its starter. I am not real sure why, but the coils inside are black and nearly melted together.
I only assume this occurred during my welding repairs the last few nights. No matter, I need another starter and maybe a key switch. I will be checking the dealer tomorrow, and I will be checking with a starter rebuild shop in town.
I see several online (ebay) for about $100. If the dealer is not much more than that, then no worries. My experience though is that dealers are almost double the price of parts I find on ebay.
Other issue is I need this new started installed by Sat morning so we can put the tractor to work on our land.
So, where do you guys buy parts?
