I love this!

the entire damn world knows that our state is the most UNSAFE place on earth! We have warning labels on everything. Evidentially, everybody that lives here is so stupid they didn’t even know how little chance they have for survival if not for all the warning labels.
Look at who you folks vote into both state and federal as representatives and governors.. Nough said???

No one wants to admit that they voted for Pelosi or the present governor, but somehow they keep getting elected. Someone has to be voting for them!

Got started logging the hemlock stand in our back 40.
Hasn't been cut in the last 60 years at least so it is very dense with tall trees.
We will probably be at it for a few months at the rate we work.

I figure Cali will be the first state with "HOT: DO NOT TOUCH" signs in Braille, just to make sure they're not discriminating against the vision impaired.

How bout ya'll knock off the political BS in this thread? If you want to do that, perhaps pick one of the "rona" virus threads to do that?

I didn't have an opportunity to do anything on the Kubota today. There, back on track.

Back on track it is... Finished moving the rocks to the dock and my son stacked them. We will be doing the other side this weekend.

That’s some pretty straight logs. Are you select/cull cutting or clearing a spot for a particular purpose? Hope you know someone or have a sawmill of your own. That’s a lotta money laying on the ground.

Condensate drain under the drive out basement slab at Dad’s house plugged with a combination of roots and lime. We had snaked it out twice recently to where it was keeping up but that turned out to be a temporary fix. There were many, many roots in the 100’ flexible plastic pipe run. Dug it up at the PVC part adjacent to the slab. Cut a little chunk out and had the drain running as it’s supposed to quite quickly.

Dad said something about digging the 50’ trench with a mattock. I basically said, I worked all day, I’m getting tired, take a break and we’ll dig the ditch 6’ at a time. I ain’t up for messing with a mattock. A backhoe would be nice for the 50’ reroute run but the loader works pretty well for relatively shallow stuff.

The logging is part of the forest management plan that we have been following for the past 25 years .
In this case, we will be doing a commercial harvest and the logs are going to be sold to a nearby sawmill.
By the time the harvest is completed the canopy will be opened by about 80% and a new understory forest will emerge over the ensuing decades.

Used my B2601 as a stepladder. Pallet on the pallet forks. Started and moved it. Stopped again. Started and moved it. The dynamo instead of an alternator doesn't charge much with that usage. It got a little lazy starting. Need to give it a proper run tomorrow - may mow something.

Here in our part of Wi fruitcakes regeneration is almost impossible with the deer population we have here. Lucky for you your woods can recover with that severe of a cutting. My daughter is a DNR forester here and says it is a serious problem for any new growth at all.....just sayin.

Didn't do anything with tractor but lined up stuff I'm getting for it.
Probably be OCD but I got some grease fitting caps, never tried them before, might keep dirt out of fitting might be PIA.
Got a quick release grease coupler for my new DeWalt cordless grease gun.

on another note, do I understand this correctly
The state of California gives you cancer?
