Grading with Bucket is hard. Any tips?

Great stuff for those of us with a boxblade, though! Thanks, ShaunRH.

    More Buying Advice Requested

Hi All. I haven't posted on OTT in almost 2 years but had to stop in to say I LOVE THIS TRACTOR!! :) I wish I'd bought it many years earlier.

    What size brush hog??

I have the same 48" mower as smittydog, a Land Pride RCR1548, also recommended by my dealer. My BX2360 handles it easily. The dealer recommended it over the 42" mower because the blade tip speed is higher and you'll get a better cut. I also mow on slopes and added 2" wheel spacers and filled...

    It's arrived!

Wow, nice looking driveway! Congrats. I like the name, too. :) I'm very curious about how the chipper works out. Could use one of those myself.

    Bx 2360 Idle RPM's

Just to replace what was lost in this thread when the site was down: The BX2360 manual says idle should be 1350-1450rpm. Mine is 1250-1300.

    Sprayer for BX?

Just received my BXpanded sprayer last week. I bought the 26gal, 3pt version. I'm very happy with it. The 3pt frame is a quality piece of work, just like the forks I bought from them last year. I don't see why this setup wouldn't work well on any tractor with a Cat1 hitch, BX or otherwise. I'm...

    BX v B

I had to make the same decision last summer...BX or one of the smaller B's (budget concerns). My 5 acres is almost all sloped so in the end I chose the BX for the lower center of gravity, and added wheel spacers and filled tires. I think it was the right choice for me, for that reason. If my...

Max size brush hog for a bx24

I'm also using a 48" on my BX2360. Don't think I'd want to try a 5', mostly because of the extra weight. My vote is for a new 4'. Seems like used mowers are either beat up or, if in good condition, priced close to a new one....at least in my area.

    I'm Bummed

Hang in there, skeets. I read about your knee in another thread. You're on the mend now and you'll be all over that park next year. Just gotta keep up the rehab... Maybe this year you could just park yourself in the lassie area. Not sure why you'd want to wander from there anyway. ;)

Tips for Using a Box Scraper?

I've been reading about gauge wheels and skids, but I'm not sure that would help until I have the worst of it cut down. Sounds like I just need more practice and patience.

    New L4600

Yes, Cool is at 1500 feet. I have a 5 acre residential lot, almost all of it sloped to some degree. The soil and grasses look like yours while the trees are mostly live oak and white oak (I've cut out all of the digger pines except one, but they're thick at this elevation). I think there are...

Tips for Using a Box Scraper?

Yeah, he makes it look easy. It would be more useful if he was dragging that pile of dirt over some whoop-de-doos, instead of smooth ground. :)

Tips for Using a Box Scraper?

That's a simple thing that I probaby never would have thought of. So that would essentially let the BB float? I can see that being really useful for final passes with the BB angled onto the back edge. Thanks.

Tips for Using a Box Scraper?

Couldn't find exactly what I'm looking for in a search...hope another thread is not redundant. I'm trying to smooth some areas of my property that are rough and uneven enough to make mowing difficult. So I set out last weekend for the first time with my BX2360 with FEL and box scraper (no TnT)...
