As my title states I am having some kind of grinding noise issue when I engage the auger. The internal auger that blows the snow looks to be getting gouged from something but can't seem to figure out what's causing it. I had to replace a shear pin today but can't imagine that being the cause...

We have had an easy winter up until this weekends storm. 14+ or- inches and so thankful I invested in a tractor and snow blower. Now I just need to learn what to do when a shear pin breaks, and to keep some extra's . Sure hope everyone keeps warm and gets past this cold snap.:)

I'm another one who bought a new tractor and snow blower. We had a good amount of snow after Thanksgiving, but only rain since. Oh well it will come soon enough or should I say to soon for my liking.

I'm not sure if I just looked in the wrong places, but can't seem to find anything that tells how high off the ground this snow blower should be able to raise from ground. I'm guessing mine only lifts up maybe 4 inches. Should it lift higher?
