With this pic and your comment, I successfully reattached the spring today. Working from below did not prove to be productive. It took removing the transmission cover, and the right step deck to gain easier access from above. Smaller hands would have helped too but, got er done. Many thanks...

Hello: On occasion when the seat cut off switch is tripped the dies as it should. The issue is it will not crank right after this happens. If it sits for several hours it will crank and run. Any suggestions to this matter is very much appreciated indeed. Thank you, Rick
