i changed everything new filter fluid 303 hyd and new pump all did good for 2 hours then lift stopped working. let it set over night and now works again for about 1to 2 hours then stopped again. I just saw a video that said i should use 80 or 90 weight oil? can some one tell me what to do? Also...

I might be late but mine is doing something like yours but when i go to reverse and try to go forward as soon as i touch the gear shift it locks up. Bought 5 new balls and 3 springs that go in the top of the case and fixed mine' springs were to weak and balls we worn bad. :D

what all places should have a closed system so it can not suck air? When i got the tractor a couple months the pump and the housing under the seat had been off but they did not put gaskets back on if it takes them some has blue gasket gue around but no gasket but that should hurt with sucking...

Sorry was not thinking right it is a 1984 L245DT used tractor supply hyd fluid the one that everybody says they use.Super trac 303 hyd fluid. It is full and yes it looks foamy when i check the level.:rolleyes: thanks

Ok all new, hyd pump filter and fluid. After about 20 to 30 min time lift gets where it whines when i lift it. What could be my problem please.

Does this tractor have a 2 stage clutch? When bush hogging if i press the cluth the bush hog dies as soon as the clutch is pressed.?:confused:

update Ok after i was told hyd pump was rebuilt and was good i did everything else well i should have known to start with the pump. Yes to all never believe them when they say i rebuilt it lol. Got a new hyd pump put it on cranked her up and wala 3 point works great so thanks for all the good info.

I just bought a L245DT tires are half new Starts and runs like a sewing machine Drives all gears work everything except the lift. The rear lift does not work. What i im ask is what is it worth like is?:rolleyes:
