    Cheap "block heater"

I think I bought my block heater from my Kubota dealer for $50 and it took my 15 minutes to install, including the process of filing the coolant tank that was emptied when I removed the plug from the side of the engine. On a 0 degree F day, after 60 minutes of warming, the tractor starts as if...

    Chains?

I have turf tires on my B2650 and have never had a problem in snow, although it is a bit heavier than your BX so there may be a difference in performance between the two. I looked into rubber tire chains as I have pavement but decided that I didn't need them after trying going without. Ice on...

Which linear actuator for snowblower chute mod?

Yes - There is no kill like overkill. That and I expect snow will sit on the actuator and I don't want to have to replace it every 2 years. Unfortunately, it looks like IPX6 is the best I can find so I am going with it.

LED light bar. Where to take power from

Where do you tap the ignition positive from? On my machine, I used the auxiliary wire in the rear of the tractor that is hot only when the key switch is on because I couldn't find where under the hood to take it from. I would prefer to grab it from the front of the tractor.

    Best FEL attachment for digging

I had a gap larger than 1/8 inch but was able to bend the wings outward by hitting them with a hammer. They are made of a steel that is softer than the teeth and bend easily.

Which linear actuator for snowblower chute mod?

I want to attach a linear actuator to my 2782B snowblower to move the chute up and down. My primary concerns are finding an actuator that has the proper stroke length (not sure if I need 4 inch or 6 inch), is water resistant, and will move the chute quickly. With regard to the last point, I...

    2601 Frt loader

Did you check your tire pressure? I have heard of loaders appearing out of level when the tires on one of the tractor are inflated to a pressure higher than the other.

    B2620 to B2650

Whichever option you go with, I recommend the Piranha tooth bar instead of the factory replaceable edge. It cuts into a pile of material much better.

    B2650 break in

I kept mine below 2500 RPM for the first 50 hours but got very close to that because I needed at least 2400 RPM to move snow with my front mount blower. I changed all of the fluids and filters and noticed nothing out of order and the tractor is working fine many hours later.

How many of you use steering wheel spinners on your tractor(s)?

I can't imagine NOT having a spinner. It helps make the tractor nimble when doing loader work and repetitive back and forth motions.

Loader Quick Connect Trick . What is it ???

I had a problem connecting one of the hoses after storing the FEL over the winter. I had to hit the nipple with a hammer and screwdriver to release the pressure. When I posted about it here, people told me to connect the hoses that will go on easy and then to work the control lever to release...

    ROPS Threaded Hole

B2650 owner here... I did not get those but I would like either to buy them or find a bolt that fits the opening. Does anyone know the thread size?

What to use to "wash" hydraulic oil off of tractor?

As others have said, simple green. Mix it 1:1 with water and rub with a soft cloth. Then hose it down.

    Fire Exinguisher Install

Thanks for your input on this Paul. I am a subscriber to your channel and forgot about that video! I am going to look into Click Bond for this and several other mod projects.

    Fire Exinguisher Install

I have been thinking about mounting an extinguisher. I plan to spend a lot of time out in the woods this spring/summer cutting wood and also burning wood so it would be nice to have one handy. I live in a cold climate so I would like to find one that I can keep mounted all year long -- not...

Which one from the B series...

I agree with other posters that you may want to look at a machine that is bigger than the 2650. You will likely be able to accomplish everything you want with it but it will just be slower than a larger tractor. Also, I feel very unstable on my 2650 when taking on uneven ground. It might be...

    HST creeping forward

Just to update the group here... This weekend, I crawled under the tractor and lubed every connection of the HST pedal assembly that I could access without taking off the floor mat. That solved the problem of the pedal not returning to center and the tractor no longer creeps when I take my foot...

Rubber tire chains for dirt work

I have 200+ pounds of Rimguard in each tire. I just haven't used the machine for the type of work that I am gearing up to do. I guess I will give it a weekend of work and see whether I need more traction.

Rubber tire chains for dirt work

Thanks for your response. So it sounds like they should hold up decently if I use them in warm weather. I don't plan to beat them up too much and would probably remove them from time to time. I did not know that there were different types of rubber chains. I have only been able to find one...

Rubber tire chains for dirt work

I am curious to hear whether anyone here has used rubber tire chains over turfs during non-winter months, and how well they increase traction in dirt. I have turf tires on my B2650. I went with turfs because I anticipate driving (and already have driven) over my manicured lawn quite a bit and...
