Fit Rite Hydraulics - amaizing customer service experience

Not been on the forum in a long time, but wanted to visit again to post this. I bought Top N Tilt cylinders for my Kubota L3800 from Brian at Fit Rite back in 2013. They (along with valves to operate them) have by far been the best money I've spent to date on my tractor. About 6 months or so...

    Fluid film

I put some on my boys' karts chain - it slung most all of it off. Didn't give it any time to sit though, just spray and go. I wouldn't want to use it on a street bike chain (I actually don't lube my O-ring type chains at all) as I wouldn't want it flung all over my bike, on a dirtbike, sure if...

    Fluid film

WOW, there should be a sticky about this stuff! Ran across mention of Fluid Film on TBN and found Lowes carries it. Picked up 2 cans and used it on everything that doesn't have a grease zerk on my tractor. 3pt lift arms, HF QH levers and linkage, seat rails and suspension, every linkage joint...

    L3800 coolant question

I did a little googlefu on it and it's made by Prestone (Walmart MSDS confirms), is reported to be a copy of Prestone all makes and models coolant and meets the specs in the manual. As long as it checks out on the tester, I'm not gonna sweat it, I'll change it every 2yr like the manual calls...

    L3800 coolant question

Thanks for confirming before I used it. I'd searched and seen all sorts of additive / cavitation discussions my head was swimming. ...

    L3800 coolant question

Doing the 400hr service and going to change the coolant. Manual only says "use ethylene glycol (EG) type for this engine". I've got 2 gal of Walmarts house brand SuperTech 50/50 premix "all makes, all models". Is this fine to use? ...

    Kubota horn button

Well, I *finally* got around to installing the Kubota horn button and a Stebel air horn I've had for a long time. Figured I'd post pics and tie this thread off, sorry for the delay (I hate threads that just stop open ended) I installed the horn over the battery, just behind the grille. Yep...

    Help needed installing wheel spacers

What wheel spacers did you buy? I've had 2 sets of the Motorsports Tech spacers and didn't have to replace the studs or use longer bolts. I used a 6" and a 3" (I think) 1/2" drive extensions to allow the breaker bar to be outside the wheel. Then used a jack stand beside the tire to support the...

    Stinger Boom with swivel ring

I like the idea and can think of many uses, but I don't think my L3800 could lift much weight at all that far out in front of the bucket. ...

    Fueling my L3800 sucks !

Well, initially I'd load it in the back of my truck with the FEL and drove down to southern states to fill it. Then unload same way. I have chain hooks on my bucket, so a motorcycle tie-down strap (or chain) held the drum in the bucket fine. Eventually I made a mount to put the drum on a...

    Fueling my L3800 sucks !

I went through the same issue with my tractor. Fueling it did suck. I tried to think of all sorts of ways to do it easier. Best thing I did was buy a 55gal surplus drum and a 12volt transfer pump kit. Done deal. Fueling is now as easy as being at the gas station. ...

    R4 Tire direction

If it was my tractor, if it ain't mounted right, who ever mounted it needs to correct his half assed mistake and mount it right. And *YES*, R1 trump an R4 in the traction dept easily. About like a mud tire vs a street tread on a pickup. Cost me $1,200 to learn that first hand. ...

    L3800 not starting

Hmm, mine (HST) starts all the time (standing beside it (I know)) in whatever range I left it in, brake on or not.

    L3800HST First service

Good point, and I hadn't given it that level thought yet. I'll order a few of them and change at 10hr intervals. ...
