I have a ZG327 project. I think it is a 2009 year with 2200 hours. it runs well sitting. You can turn on the PTO and it still runs well. The problem begins when you want to move. If you move the arms (either one) it will move. After about 3-5 seconds it will die and if you put the arms back fast enough it will keep running. Moving either arm solo will cause the same issue. I can bypass the switches and move all day.

The seat switch is currently jumped and each arm's safety switch tests fine with a meter. Engine oil level is good and oil is new. Transmission shows about halfway up to the full mark. History is that is ran and operated fine until parked due to a massive oil leak (mostly fixed with replacing the rubber oil cooler lines). I found some rodent damage to a couple of wires (fuel and regulator) and repaired them.

Does anyone see something I am missing or something to check?

What is the "Switched" you have bypassed?
The safety switches on your mower are the Park Brake, the seat, one on each of the steer control levers, and the Deck PTO lever.

So I think my problem is solved. I replace the brake switch and I think I was sold a switch for the arm instead of the brake as it should be closed when the brake is applied but it is open when the brake is applied.

That is entirely possible as the switches both look alike.

yup the switches look very simiar but one is a normally open switch and the other a normally closed switch.

Confused? On the ZG100's and Z200's, the brake switch is both normally open AND normally closed. DIY'ers get throwed for a loop on those.
