Hi all I have a ZG227 that is giving me fits. Had this unit for probably 10-12 years and it has been perfect. Never a issue. Lately though I have been having problems with it. It will start and run fine for a bit maybe 10-15 min then start surging and die. I can pull the choke when it starts doing and limp back to the barn usually but it will die. I replaced fuel filters, took the carb out and cleaned it. Even replaced the fuel shut off solenoid on the carb. I had issues about a year ago and replaced the fuel pump with a cheap chinese one. So today replaced it with the Kubota one. I am at a loss. It is definately fuel related. I used a air blower and blew air back into the tank from the fuel pump. It ran fine for a bit. I am wondering if I have a hose that collapsing when it gets hot or if there is trash in the tank. Any other suggestions? How would I clean that tank?
