Our zd 331 will not turn over. When we by pass the brake switch the mower will start . But we must disconnect the bypass wire in order to keep it running once we try to move forward. Is another switch the actual problem?

I have owned my ZD323 since 2009. I have changed out the brake safety switch 3 times, I think it gets gummed up with debris kicked up from front of mower deck. As a temporary work around I hold the key in the start position and cycle the brake pedal until it starts. I have blown out switch with compressed air and sprayed with contact cleaner also.

silly safety switches are about $12 CDN, not worth the effort to make 'bulletproof' with AAT technology
