ZD21 Damper Replacement

How hard is to access and replace the dampers on the control handles on a ZD21? My wife was mowing today and said the right handle had Very little resistane when she pushed forward. She said it drove fine. I’m not home so I can’t check it. It just sounds like the damper bit the dust. I assume the ZD18, 21 and 28 are all the same so I’m sure one of you lucky owners have had to replace one one of these. I checked the WSM online and didn’t see the procedure anywhere. Thanks

I replaced them on my 21. One of mine popped of the ball stud and I was able to zip tie it back on to get
me by until I got new ones. As I recall they are threaded studs on both ends. Pretty easy to replace.
