Hello, I have a 2017 X900 side by side and with 225hrs.

I put about 65 hrs a year on it and change engine oil and filter every fall. I use Shell Rotella 0-40 oil, which according to truck forms is one of the best diesel engine oils to use for year round use. I like the zero oil in that if I have to do a cold start in winter. Plus it's extreme duty and so for about $10 more per change I think its worth it.

I notice that the fresh oil turns black right after an oil change. Very black.
I use same oil in a Hew Holland tractor with 450 hrs and it does not get black right away like the Kubota does.

Do other Kubota users have same experience? And ideas as to what is going on here, is it normal? Could it be over fueling?

Thanks.

Glenn
