Not sure if anyone here is interested but here is a nice affordable app to document and easily keep track of maintenance across all of your vehicles, equipment, atvs etc.

Welcome aboard. That's interesting. I use Felt Tiply. New filters are marked with the date and hours. Mower deck gets greased every 3 or 4 uses as does the loader.

That has worked well for the last 100 years!

I've never used the Tiply app! 😂 I used to have logbooks for cars, trucks, or anything with an engine, but transitioned to Excel spreadsheets many decades ago. The spreadsheets are packed with information, and I don't ever see the need to move away from that method of capturing data. When I sell a vehicle, I hand over a spreadsheet to the new owner that shows every oil change, what oil was used, how much was used, brand of oil filter, all other service performed, tire rotation, specs, upgrades, upgrade costs etc. Basically a complete history of the vehicle.

I am a little obsessive about this sort of thing, so when I bought the '02 F-250 from a friend in 2018 I spent a few hours entering all of the historical data that he'd collected in hard copy format into a spreadsheet. He bought the truck new in 2002 and kept every receipt and service record in a binder. Some documents get scanned before shredding and either live in the same folder as the spreadsheet or get inserted into a worksheet in the main spreadsheet.

In this cell phone obsessed society where people have their entire lives on their phone it comes as no surprise that apps such as Wrenchly are more common. People have tens if not hundreds of thousands of text messages on their phones but not me! I delete all conversations within a week and move all photos off my phone to solid state storage. I'll download images if necessary and maybe take a screenshot of something, but I have no desire to have 10 years or exchanges in any format, let alone on my phone.

I recently sold my LMTV M-1078 and asked the new owner to provide a drop box so that I could send him everything that I had. I uploaded 1.22 GB of data for him including numerous manuals, as well as a spreadsheet. To say that he was thrilled is an understatement.

Very wise !

A friend of mine dropped his phone over the side while sailing recently.

Despite a diver being able to recover the phone none of his data or pictures could be restored.

I have an old fashioned folder with paper in my garage and write maintenance logs for every vehicle with a pencil. And I got service tags reprinted that I put in the vehicles for major things like engine oil, gear box oil, coolant and brake fluid.
