I've got an 80s L3450 with a loader and the front tires are the really narrow 5.00x15, with a full load on driving on sod it really sinks them into the ground. Does anyone know what you can get away with for wider tires on the stock rims or is there a wider rim and tire setup off another model I could be running? thanks.

assuming 4wd?

whatever you do - the width really will not matter, get the best width you can find.

HOWEVER - be very careful with the circumference of that new tire - you do NOT want it to be bigger nor smaller than the OEM ........

It might be hard to find a tire with the correct diameter rim and a width while keeping the same rolling circumference.

Edit:

Looking your machine up ........... that is a 2wd machine then?????? YOU can place any tire you wish there and long as it fits the rim :D
you could place truck tires on that if need be~

It is the 4wd version, although I run it in 2wd most of the time because the front wheels just dig holes. I'll have to hit a tractor supply place and see if I can get wider rims I guess.

You can try M E Miller Tire out of Ohio. You need the bolt pattern and sizes to shop. Call Miller they have been good help for me.
