I have a L245DT tractor with loader. The loader is either a L1200 or L1700. Not sure where to fill the Hydraulic fluid. There is a reservoir mounted on the frame with a pressure hose and non pressure hose going to a pump at the front of the tractor engine. Does this type of arrangement operate as a stand alone system rather than off the tractor hydraulics? The Parts and Owners manual from Kubota don't even show the reservoir. I'm new to owning a tractor and need some help. Sorry for all the questions. Does anyone know where I can get a service manual for this loader?

Thanks

Bill

The fluid is usually held in the transmission unless you are using an external pump and tank. The hydraulic system on the l245dt without a loader is used only to raise and lower the 3pt. There is an optional added plate on the top of the transmission housing to provide oil flow to and from that location for other attachments. From what you say yours has the external pump and tank, I've been told it can be either way that is; stand alone as yours seems to be or off the hydraulics of the tractor as I discribed before. Mine has no loader:( and I need one if anyone reading this knows where one is so the plate I spoke of is not on my unit. Hope that helps.

Thanks Flagtrax! Mine is external. Now I'm looking for a used lift cylinder for this loader. Any idea where I might find one?
