I built these weights not long after I bought my tractor. Thought I'd post a thread on how I made them after fellow member Newlyme asked about them.

First step was the mounting 'spud' that the weights would attach to. I had these water jetted out of some 1-3/4" plate I had laying around. I had the six holes put in to clear the bolts that hold on the tractor wheel. Then I machined the center hole for a press fit of 2-1/2" shaft that would support the weights. I drilled and tapped three holes for 3/4-10 bolts that would hold the weights, plus another three for studs that would keep the spud tight to the wheel.

Next I machined the back side of the spud to fit the center hole in the tractor tire rim. This is important to keep the studs from having to support what will be 400 lbs of weights. Using the spud for a template I marked and then drilled three holes in the tractor wheel for the studs to poke through. Powder coat all and bolt up the weights and done. I made sure that nothing stuck out beyond the outer rim.
