I have a 3010 HST, what is everyone using for a snowblower on these? Will it handle a 6 foot blower? I have a 5 foot on another tractor that I was thinking of putting on, but I think it will be a little small as I have 5 feet between tires. Is 30 hp enough for a 6 footer?

I would say "YES". If the snow is too heavy or deep you can always slow down. That is the beauty of HST, over gears.

I'll second the Yes, I have no issue running a 64" on an older, similar model, and like gpreuss has said HST makes it real easy to regulate the amount of snow it's taking in.

The 5 foot blower I have is on a G194 Bolens, it is a gear drive 19 hp. Last week we got 3 feet of snow and I was in low range low, low gear. I never thought of the hst being easier by being able to control it with the pedal.

I know what your talking about I have an old Simplicity Landlord, 10HP but that thing is a beast!
The real difference between you Bolens and the Kubota is not the HP it's the amount of torque that the Kubota has, You can run a lot bigger PTO powered implements without as big of an Issue.
I was able to run my 64" in 2'+ of wet heavy snow in 5th gear, never stalled or overworked it.

I had a 60" blower on my old L185 (13.5 PTO HP). The issue was that with gears, reverse was about the same as 3rd/7th. Since it was a 3ph blower, I found 7th way too fast, 3rd sometimes too fast. HST would have solved the problem. On the new L3200 I've got the lower 4 speeds in reverse, so matching ground speed to snow cover is not a problem. Gravel is...

My GST is great because you can change gears on the fly so you and slow down or speed up as needed. I do like my HST on my B7100 too.

I ran a 74" 3 point hitch blower with my 29.5 hp. for a year and a half preformed great in deep snow with the PTO in 2nd gear trans. in low range. I bought the 5740 HST with cab and wish it had a two speed PTO so I could run the engine RPMs at a lower setting and still throw the snow into the woods. Noticed a bit more fuel consumption also.
Cheers Bob
