thanks. Not sure why I would want to unlock the controls but thx.

I do not live in an agriculture area and there's probably no tractor like mine within 100 miles or more .
My phone can't DL anything. I'm going to get a new one when I can afford it. I do not own a computer either so I'm stuck asking stupid questions and getting belittled on this forum for not knowing some things.

I didnt grow up around equipment like many here did.

Welcome.... as others have said in one position it stops the control lever from operating, a safety sort of position.

Don't worry about questions. Ask away. Questions make for good reading and how people learn, makes this site interesting to visit, etc.... without new users and questions whether repeat or not this site is sure to die. Glad you are here.

Just a few little fyi things about being here.... if your spelling be bad, if your grammar is bad cause you may not have good schooling, if you ask questions about oil, if you spell Kubota improperly, and if the answer to your question resides in your owner's manual or in the workshop manual be prepared to get a rough/gruff answer. Guessing that's just the way of the world these days.

And.... pictures of anything are always welcome.

Google and AI may have less of an attitude much much less fun than being here.

Cheers!

I didn t get one and have never owned a machine like this. Can you answer the question or not?
down load one from the manufacturer website. critical you read it.

it prevents the front loader stuck from moving and dropping the arms on something. handy for doing maintence and someone or some animal not squishing you by accident. had a cousin get trapped under his tractor once cuz he was under it and a crow landed on the fel lever....

There are 8 within 15 minutes of my house.
It takes me that long just to get to a road with a name . I'm in the mojave desert but partially in the San Bernardino national forest and BLM land on the other side.

Going to "Town" can take a while. Im sure there is a library in san Bernardino but with socal traffic, etc that 50 mile trip each way would take an entire day.

Aint no dumb questions, every swinging dic in here started the same way, some grew up with things others found out on their own, others asked questions. Never ever be afraid to ask a question in here, we might bust your chops a bit and laugh about it later, and some guys just answer in questionable ways that make you raise an eye brow. But the only dumb question is the one you dont ask!

Hi Chris - RTFM is not the warmest of welcomes to a newbie, but it's really important - the potential for injury or fatality grows exponentially when you move from a small lawn tractor to a machine like yours. It's worth studying the manual as soon as you can. That being said, congrats on your new-to-you tractor & welcome aboard.

Since I joined (shortly after buying my first, bigger than lawn tractor machine) I've found OTT to be an invaluable resource. Keep the questions coming - there's no bad question and the brain trust at OTT is awesome. Also the search function is very helpful - either by model # or issue.

Happy tractoring!
